Looking at the Fellman wells,I installed the torpedo pumps on many of them on the pumping deck. A wee story involving these wells, Tony Dunster and I were checking one out ,it wasnt pumping correctly, so we opened the hatch and climed down the vertical ladder attached to the side of the well,I was checking the electrodes to see if there was a problem, mind you the other pumps were working and we were only checking the one that wasnt pumping. Needless to say we were now below the natural water table, all of a sudden there was a power cut,and Tony was struggling to get back up to the hatch,I was directly below him bumping him on the rear end with my head to hurry up as I could feel the water coming up over my legs, the water was up to my neck by the time I could get out.
Another close call.
