And so the 4th edition is to be printed and distributed and will also be available online 31 July (this Friday). Every edition is getting better and better.
I am amazed at the amount of work that goes into it, with everybody involved having to balance their "real jobs" and volunteering to get the Newsletter done.
Alfred, you are doing a GREAT job with your editing, layout and technical stuff!
This month's edition has the theme of "Environment and Community".
The editors have organized a stall at the night market opposite Spar on 31 July 2020. PLEASE come and say hallo and chat a bit!

The border was closed around the beginning of March due to the Covid outbreak, but in all honesty with 90km of the North Bank road being tarred, the detour aint to bad, only thing being is there is still currently no traffic allowed between both countries...

Woolworths have reconsidered and are staying for the moment..

Woolworths in Oranjemund have announced that they will be withdrawing from Oranjemund at the end of the month. Local gossip citing that the cost of having to transport their goods an additional 1800km now that they Alexander Bay border is closed, has become to expensive. In addition declining sales and an uncertain future makes operations unsustainable.....

One fears that the entire world is changing....... perhaps not always for the better.....
