Old Police Station near Daberas!

Does anyone have any intertesting tales or any photos and information about the old German Police station near Daberas? I think the building is similar to the one at Hohenfels....

Hi Mike

There was a police station at Sendelingsdrift and there is a picture of it in Pat Honeyborne's book Gateway to Adventure (page 106). The ruins are still supposed to be there and in better condition that those at Hohenfels. In the 60s and 70s CDM security supposedly used the station.

Dont know about the one at Daberas . . . .

Was still in one piece in the 80's......used to do army training there sometimes.
Think Namdeb Management still go camping there sometimes.
A couple of years ago some Luderitz guys went there on their motorbikes..... after that management banned all motorbikes from using the road between Oranjemund and Ross Pinah.........some things never change....

Is it not the building that Keith Childs and co were based at when they did the exploration at Sendelingsdrift in the 90's? If it is, then that building should still be in 1 piece. In know a friend of a friend who has recent pics... I'll see what I can do.

No Mike, the police station was at Sendelingsdrift. It took the police a week to travel from Hohenfels to Sendelingsdrift- will attach a pic later
