Ek en Margaret Woest was groot maats in Oranjemund sal ook graag wil weet waar sy is. Ek onthou almal wat jy noem en Kitty en Maryke het reg voor ons gebly. E32 8ste laan. Ek is in Oranjemund gebore en my pa is dood in 1971 toe moes ons die dorp verlaat. Verlang nog baie terug en sal baie graag vir my kinders wil gaan wys waar ek gebore en groot geword het. Geniet jou dag.

Great site. I really enjoyed scrolling through all the old photos and comments. Me and my family used to live in Oranjemund since 1976 up to 1989, when we left for Windhoek. Two of my three children were born in Oranjemund. I used to work as a Apprentice training officer with, Andre Botha, Fanie and Riek Paley at 4 plant training centre. I was at that stage the training officer for the Carpentry/joinery apprentices. This was phased out and I was then appointed the Engineering training officer until I left. I used to play Volleyball.
This is a great site keep up the good work

 Wow!!! Great seeing so many familliar names, makes one homesick. I wos 1yr old when my parents, Kevin & Yvonne Bam(sadly passed away in 1991), moved to Oranjemund in 1981. Had a lifetime of memories and lessons learnt when i moved to Cpt in 2000. My dad and his wife, Benita retired last year to their new home sweet home in Sandbaai, Hermanus. Atleast i get to see more of them nowadays. Wud luv 2 get in touch with old friends, chow, Jenny

E-mail: linda.badenhorst@gmail.com 		A real blast from the past! We were living in O'mund from 1965 - 1978. My folks are Dick and Yvonne Wilson, my brother Richard, my sister Theresa. I am now living in Mozambique. Would love to hear from anyone that remembers us. I was Diamond Queen 1974. We lived in Inner Crescent and was confronted by many a gemsbok taking a shortcut through the trees. Ah what a wonderful childhood we had. Wonderful site, well done, a lovely tribute to a truly unique way of life.
