Egads ,,, check that  typewriter out !!   no luxury of word processor in those days .. reminds me of the time I "sold" one of my as a young  boy muse inspired paintings ,, it was  a fine  one by the way ,,, to Anne Davis... it was a looking down a long busy street to  harbour view ,, my  reward was  a huge clumpy Underwood  typewriter  that I totally  appreciated ... Anne was  the daughter of  Arthur and Curly Davis ,, brothers  Michael and Brian ,,, I as a young boy was totally smitten by her ,,  she as a already almost twenty knew it   accepted it as it was  and was very fond of me .. would always look at  me grab my cheeks look at me intnently and call me her little nana ,, a pet name ... any  Davis  members out there  remember that ,, ?? in the Davis garden was a minature   Alpine like village  done in cement ,,, I did my own copy in our garden as well ...

Geeze Mike, that pic was taken more than a third of a century ago. I am now a skinny old guy with white hair and a bad attitude.
Re Jolene, the fund raised enough money to send her to Queen Mary's Hospital at Roehampton in London for the fitting of artificial arms and legs and give her three months training in their use.
After her return she continued to live at the Sarah Fox home in Athlone and in later years held down a job as a telephonist/receptionist at the home. While in New Zealand I sent her a card on the occasion of her 21st birthday and was delighted to get one in return.
