In essence I have almost 12 GB of Scanned Newsletters that Will deplete my hosting space, so the idea is to get a free 15GB Google drive space and see if I can link downloads and how to see if the link works correctly and quick enough..

Well this is the first official post on this here nostalgic forum in about four years!

Yep! You heard correct.

The forum got infected, My hosting provider locked the site and in all honesty it was getting a tad depressing for me when contributing members like Georg, Mike Stenson, Pete Shout and Mike Voden went to a higher service.

I lost interest but wisely decided to keep funding the domain.

After getting a phone call from an ex Oranjemunder in Canada it dawned apon me that there were still members out there that may not contribute but still read the forum,

So I found time, did a bit of learning about Databases , upgraded the forum Software, changed the manner in which people can join.

That being said, if you are a member and want to post, but forgot your password, email me at michael(at)oranjemundonline.com and I will reset your details.

In conclusion, sorry for the offline time, let's preserve history!!

this picture might be oceanographers Dudley Woodward & team mate ' s truck that they might have used to take their boat to the beach and back . after the project was completed, around 1976/1977 the boat & truck was sold. after all these years one's memories gets foggy .   I m not sure abouth this , but as I remember a person living in JHB -  [might have been a emplyee of Debex] - bought the truck and boat

What grabbed me in the news today / So, Trump concedes.

Sad to see America split apart by what I believe has been electoral fraud. Biden was recorded saying that the Americans had built the best voter fraud machines in the world! Nobody believed him but I guess they soon will.

Trump did some good things while president but the best thing he did was to stimulate huge growth of the USA's economy. The UK reaped benefit from this but now that the UK has 'kicked' the EU into touch, it is going to be a very interesting and successful future. There are now four other EU countries wanting to leave the EU now. Good.

The remainers here in UK were very scared of leaving. But all will be well.

Cheerio,
