goodmorning all, everyone seems to be taking it in turns this morning! I would've loved to have been able to lie in a bit longer but what with a hungry puppy, cat and 7 year old thought I'd better get up and get the morning started. Now that they've all been fed and the washing machine is on I've made myself a cup of tea and am sitting in front of the pc.
Now I've got Cameron looking at all the avatars over my shoulder whilst typing so my peace has been shattered!
Mike - please sort Cameron's pc out - it keeps freezing and bombing out!
Michele...is that you? I missed you in bed this morning...... swink

Hey Carl. What kinda traiter are you?? Braai is hard work for the man and easy going for the woman. That's the way you should see things... :emot19:

Is Donegal still so greem? Loved the scenary.
Donegal is as stunning as ever - the beach is superb and the scenery is green; green; green - as the man says ''40 shades of green'' - but then again most of Ireland is green - hence 'The Emerald Isle'......had the best time - and what an accent, I just love it.
Yes, and easy going people. Got any pics Rhona?
Plenty of pictures Jnr - unfortunately they are 'stuck' on my camera

If we block you, where is all the fun we have with you ????? e154
@ Mike - home at 01:00 - you light weight..........come to an irish wedding and I can gaurantee you too would have logged on to give out some words of wisdom.........in fact you would of wrestled me for the pc. At my own wedding - it was 05:30 when we left the party............one of the guests headed off at 07:30 and as he walked or should I say staggered past the hotel night porter - he said ''Grand stretch in the evenings, hey?''
@ Georgswa - thanks for your kind words; but I think for everyone elses peace of mind - it's best if I'm blocked through-out the night..........at least that way I don't have to wake up in the morning wondering who stole my password and logged on under my user-name!!!
Oops sorry missed you all yesterday when I snuck in then out. Was in and out from 7p.m. verrrry quiet it was. Rhona shame give our Michael a break.....1 a.m. is verrry late for him his usualy home by 11p.m.

Mike still on holiday, thanks to the Benton Boys, who are wandering the town, just lit a fire to make wors rolls for lunch..... beer is already flowing.....
sobored
Where is everyone today? I see Diana is on line now but where are the rest of you hiding?
It is a glorious day in Oranjemund, sun is shining and no wind.
Mike has just hijacked my laptop to print out the news reports about tomorrow nights Rangers match for Bryan and Stuart to read - they're still going to be in O'mund so no doubt there will be lots of shouting and swearing at the tv tomorrow night. Makes a change for it to be football and not rugby!
I wonder how Georg jr is enjoying his holiday - anyone know what the weather is like there at the moment?
Maybe I must start Happy Hour at the bar and more people might add some more posts. 1 free drink for every post made - how is that for a good deal? Just remember to tip the bar lady!
No wonder most O'munders drink so much!
BierSuip :emot182: :auguri1: quickdop cheers
hi Michele

Hi Michele, mike here..you might remember me as the guy that sleeps in the same bed as you.... laughpoint
Hi Michael - did you get my e-mail ?
Nearly home time - will leave at 4:30 so that I only have to battle the trafic for 1 hour instead of two.
just glad I have air-con in this car. The last time we had a heat wave in this country I was about 8 months pregnant couldn't stick the heat, at least I can enjoy it now , might get a bottle of Cider on the way home.....yum yum
Yes, I did and have replied..... Let me know...
Hiya Michelle - how was the first day back at school? Did you cope alright without the girls all day?
Hi there, first day back at school was hectic - 5 books to cover and lots of homework! And I thought they would ease us into the term!
I'm a working mom so the girls are normally at daycare during the day - today I just had to remember that it was back to the 13h00 school run. Cameron goes straight to the daycare when she finishes school at 12h30 but I fetch Shannon, pop back home and then drop her at the daycare - it means a lot less bags when I pick them up at 16h00 from the daycare!
allgood
I used to love starting back at school - new shirts and new socks; after that it was all down hill......I think we used to have those navy blue plastic covers for our copy books............also did we used to have a story book about a house made out of bread, for a mouse - and he ate out the door and window...........does that story make sense to anyone?
:emot26:
Can't say I remember that story.
I must say most of the kids I saw at school this morning seemed pretty excited to be back at school, I'm not sure how long it will last though!
Cameron was already moaning about the homework this evening - and she's only in Grade 1! Does seem a bit unfair that she had quite a bit more homework than Shannon, a Grade 4 had.
Cameron has a new teacher this term and it is none other than Miss Joanna Kalondo, an ex-OPS pupil, she was teaching the grade 2's and there's been a bit of a shuffle around.
No way - Joanna was a buddy of mine when I was in OPS - WOW, I wonder if she remembers me.....
I shall have to mention you to her when I see her again. Was trying to work out - she must be older than the twin sisters, Ebba and Ebben? They were in the same year as my brother. Her brother Kalondo Kalondo was in my year I think!
The twins are a year or so younger than her......remember the two of us had to keep an eye on them during a sports day at school
Rhona - are you Paul's age? If so makes sense as my brother would've been 35 on Sunday and Paul turns 37 this year.
I'm 36 next month - myself and Paul were in school together............sometimes I think we had velcro strips down the length of our clothes as he was always about
Hi Guys, Isee you've been keeping the ball rolling, Rona is Gronya and Gary also in The Emerald Isle?? Hey Michele Ican remember covering Scool Books, yes I remember those blue plastic covers too. Have been up to Scotland,it is really lovely,we went up as far as Fort Williamand Ben Nevis netc big
g bighug
My dad always used to help cover our school books when we were at school, I can't ask Mike though - he can't even work the perforated clingwrap without cursing and swearing!
Sorry, forgot to ask - Pam whereabouts in the UK are you? I was born in Plymouth but we left just before I turned 6 so can't remember much.
@ Michelle - I bet you remember the chocolate buttons???
@ Pam -yip Gary and Grainne are here as well - Gary is married with three daughters adn Grainne got married just last October - we headed to Durban for her wedding...........stopped off in Capetown along the way - brilliant holiday.
Funny enough I do remember the chocolate buttons - have never found the South African equivalent.
Hey, Diana's programme must've finished as she's back on line!
At least her and Pam are taking turns!
Yip they finished had to shower first and check if Stephens snoring before I crept back.
What did you watch?
Sorry to disappoint you all but I am going to have to hit the sack, tomorrow is another busy day and I've still got a couple of dishes to wash - no dishwasher for me!
So, thnx for all the great chit-chat, keep an eye on those bots and see you all tomorrow!
gnite
Byeeeeeeeeeeeee - we'll see you here tomorrow - don't forget to hide the pc on Mike before you go to bed gnite
gnite
Watched The Amazing Race and then some detective series.
Just remembered - Mike's either going to be watching the soccer tomorrow night or going to Dr Noli's presentation, which means........ I get full use of the pc again!
:emot112_2:
See ya'll tomorrow evening then!
Whoo Hoo :emot111: Thank goodness for Soccer
Ah Ha so that was his other important appointment "soccer". You see I do read the forum
@ Rhona .. looks like you gonna have the bar all to yourself .. me off to bed ... just finished off tending a slow cook session while catchiing up on some emails and work reports .. .. luverly beef curry and a pea and ham soup all destined for freezer in the morning.. ...winter fodder
Rhona my sister lives in Donegal.....Downing / carrikgart.........where did you actually go......i loooove the place.....these arnt the best pictures ive got but the only ones i can find just now....
Hiya Bev - headed to Donegal town; on the road to Killybegs.......what a stunning place.
@ Sandy - a lady never drinks alone; that's why I come on the site - never alone that way...
Hello there Rhona, how are you this evening? Did you have a good day at work?
Where was everyone today - was really quiet and we've got a busy evening ahead of us if we want to make 100 posts!
Come out, come out where-ever you are!
Ah work is work - and to-day I dreamt of winning the lotto; buying a huge camper van (you know the type like the americans have - think they call them a winebego, or something like that!!!) and driving around the world - wow what fun that would be.........
Do you think you'd have space for a family of four plus one dog?
I'd have to agree with you though - we'd have to give Austria a skip!
Diana must have another interesting programme to watch on the tv tonight as she was online a bit earlier but seems to have disappeared!
Unless she's watching the football?
:36_8_1:
She'd NEVER betray us with football.................Oh Diana, where are you - come out! come out where-ever you are!!!
Sure if I won the lotto I'd buy you guys a camper van as well - and then we could drive around together
Yes Rhona .. never drink alone .. if nobodys around then just set up the mirror in front of one hey ?? Not doing much posting .. our wireless connection seems to really be buggering around .. phoned and go througha whole process and it works well and then slows downagain ... UUGH .. and me an impatient soul at times .. anyhow its early to bed got busy 2 days ahead .. actually if I could just pack up a winebago right now I would .. Lotto tonight .. me been winning steady small stuff on fixed set of subscribed #'s .. so if I keep a constant .. while the other is not constant something random must happen hey ??
Okay Rhona - now you've got lots of witnesses! Hope you'll be buying lots of tickets for Saturday night, we'll be waiting for the call!
Sandy - are you going to offer to buy us campervans as well? If so, good luck - hope your numbers are lucky tonight!
I am not deserting you Rhona, just need 10 minutes to get the girls into bed - I will be back!
Hey - just had a brilliant idea.........why not get a syndicate going - maybe 6 people or so; each person picks a number and then each of us do the lotto at different parts of the world..............whatcha reckon - stupid idea???
@ Sandy - and here was I thinking you are after going shy on us!!! We miss your ''manger mon derier'' stories (that's my bit of french)
I was just playing a few games on face book. Well you off the hook NO need to buy a camper for me, this Aunty does hotels and not just any hotel...I like to play like Paris Hilton.
I like the lotto idea Rhona.
Well Sandy my shiraz is open and poured how about you.
I'm sorry to say but I always ignore all game invitations on facebook - I just like it to keep in contact with friends and be able to see everyone's photo's.
Are you sure you didn't win the lottery already Diana - Paris Hilton I say!
The lotto idea sounds good - just a pity there is no such thing in Namibia!
Anything else interesting to drink in the bar apart from red wine?
Rhona .. yes I been a bit quiet .. taking a bit of a break .. also found myself being a bit sucked into cyberworld and a bit detached while i have lots of real life issues do deal with .. I know I enjoy writing my stories and sharing them .. but going to hand the relay stick over for a while .. I note even the WRBKA's have gone a bit quiet on the stories .. .. On prizes I been considering doing the St Lukes Hospice fundraising lucky draw .. 2000 tickets issued @ R 1 000 ... prize is R 1 000 000 .. a million smackers .. odds 2000 to one ?? all for a good cause .. ??
Diana .. thanks to you Georg Snr locked the cellar for a week as no Hail Marys for a week was interpreted by him as NO SHIRAZ for a week .. me having some Backsberg dry red .. passable .. but ... we know my favourite hey ?? Gnght all .. me off to club duvet in pillow street ... XX
I must admit all these invitations on face book are painfull, I delete most. There a group of about 6 of us that play various games amongst each other. I'm a sucker for games.
As to the loto noooo I win nothing. I just LIKE to play like Paris Hilton but a 4 star is good enough.
Sandy have you given up on "LaLa Land" or are you just missing us? I see you back. Give me a call and come for a visit I've got some good photo's to show you.
Just popped in quickly as i finished up other important s...t letters etc .. but heres some sage advice ..on the Lotto .. I use my ebucks loyalty points and subscribe to lotto via internet transaction for 3 months at a time .. get a subscription certificate ... and my winnings are automatically deposited into my bank account .. no queues no checking .. if you win up to r 50 000 they just deposit straight into ones account .. if its over 50 G then they phone you for counselling .. I am waiting for my call for counselling .. in fact they can counsell me for a whole week if i win the big one .. so far my new subscription has won me about R 120 for the new month on lottoplus .. thats keeping constant numbers .. as said .. keep your constant while the other is not constant .. good thing about the loyalty points is i get them for doing my normal transactions via FNB so my lotto subscription costs me nothing unless I run out of ebucks .. then I just top up IOW pay .. Either open up an ebucks account and deposit money in if you not with FNB .. or get someone with FNB to do a Gift subscription .. IOW you deposit the required Moola in their account , give them your full details IOW bank acc etc and they then buy the gift subscription for you and you get the certificate and wait .. best is to do Lottoplus 5 boards + .. remember nothing ventured nothing gained .. and as for Paris the little spoilt Harlot .. nothing there , only air .. Oh well I suppose we need some air to breathe hey ??
Good Photos ?? nothing compromising I hope ??
Nope, check your E.Mail
Me naughty .. bypassed club duvet and got onto here again .. I feel the power of the cyberworld vortex sucking me in .. Ouch !! now definitely off to bed
Nobody believes you Sandy....
better do so ... GNIGHT
Just letting you know, i am back, was travelling some days enjoying spring
Visited my birth town on the french border " Saarland "
HAVE YOU GOT THE KEY TO UNLOCK MY CELLAR PLEASE ?? ITS BEEN CLOSED . NO SHIRAZ.. ONLY OTHER OFERINGS INCLUDING HAVING TO CONSUME WHITE WHINE ..
You can keeep the white wine its for the youngsters, i stick to the reds.
The key stays with me until maturity, at least 10 years, got that ????
No tricks please !!!! I just indulge in the french reds Cabernet Sauvignon leckerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Glad to see you back Georg...... Hope you had a nice time......
Missed you Daddy Georg. pls Sandy and I can have the red wine, we old you know.
That would be nice Diana, but the white is for our Brood

Gosh I missed our "Old Boy"
Yup .. 12: 21 and me all alone here .. me doing night shift .. nobody to serve drinks to ??? Ah well i just our them for meself and sup away ..
Serve me! Serve me! good thing I popped in to see how the new staff was getting on.........howz u doin' Sandy?
Codpiece awfull fit .. and the orange spraytan is running off me in rivulets .. starting to look rather patchy ... had a nice evening with my hairdresser and his true love ,, a gentle man well into his 60's still working & creating in the theatre world .. an informed and wise soul to converse with .. what more could I ask for but to have such people in my space .. they enrich and add value .. part of our soulgroup ..
Ah for sure - I'm just back from dinner with my mom & dad..........better known as Peter & Bernadette Mc Manus - don't know if you remember them, after all it was a long time ago.
I'll see what we can do about the uniform - also I think we should get rid of the tan
Your Mum and dad should remember me well .. good friends of the Alexanders and the Worths .. your Mum and Vi Aexander were a kind of Mutt and jeff team of naughtiness together when the Booze flowed .. ask your Mum about the time she and Vi had wandered off from a party in a hazy state ... Vi had her squashbox ( pianoaccordian ) and the two of them ended up in Hector Salzwiedels garden ( he was one of the high up engineers on the mine stationed a 4 plant when I worked there ) anyhow he related this story of this huge bearlike woman with a squashbox (that was dear old Vi ) and you Mum sitting on his lawn .. obviously lost but quite happy to serenade whoever's home it was .. Hector related how initially he was pissed off but also intimidated by the size of Vi's frame from the rear view so did not venture outside to challenge .. and in fact was eventually lulled of to sleep by the gentle celtic voices serenading .. and yes Vi had this beautiful and most unusual voice with a strange litit to it .. still haunts me to this day .. i still hear her singing regurlarly in my head .. its a beautiful thing indeed
That's my mom - still up for a good sing song...........her and Aunty Vi were velcro'd together; where-ever you saw one, you always saw the other..........and I remember aunty Vi's squeeze-box
Wishing all a nice week end, i take a good rest after travelling
Georg

Since I've been on the forum, I've noticed a trend forming. Patricia is online mostly all day, as is Jnr, SandyB, myself and Michael or Michele. Rhona will pop in over lunchtime, usually followed by Diana. Toward the end of the afternoon, the beer guzzling nightshift bot squad make their appearance (you know who you are).
I know I've probably missed a few names here and there, my deepest appologies. e154

202 just reading everyones posts and got to the last and was expecting someone to say "night John Boy"
(Cannot seem to remember the program, anyone?)
grab Ooooh! Oooooh! I know; I know! It's The Waltons, with John Boy and Mary Ellen..........am I right?
image201 Yes thats the one!!
Had the name but forgot the program ... Thanks for jolting the memory! :emot112_2:
In German TV it was
" Unsere kleine Farm " i think !!??
Sorry will not be able to verify that one ...202
Never watched it in German... Perhaps Jnr can help us on that ?
Little house on the Prairie ? anyhow good night Johnboy was my greeting for many years ...
Little House on the prairie was those Ingles girls - Mary and Laura............but the Waltons had John Boy
Are we sure .. or me getting mixed up ??
I'm definitely positive - The Waltons lived on Waltons mountain - a big family and they shared the house with their Gran & Grandad........The fathers name was John and the mom was Olivia - as for the kiddies, let's see how my memory goes - John Boy; Jason; Mary Ellen; Erin; Ben; Jim Bob and Elizabeth and then of course the Gran was Esther and the Grandad was Zebulan...........and they all did their shopping at Mr. Godseys
Ok with that stream of info guess i was confused ..
The waltons---googled
Ben, Mary Ellen, Jim Bob, John-Boy, Olivia, John Sr.
They have re-runs here early on a weekend morning and sometimes I flick it on - just for easy watching swink
At the moment I'm watching Braveheart - what an excellent show
Did the same search .. Ok the Waltons ... dufus me hammer

Funny you should mention dufus, Sandy. My kids have recently begun calling eachother "dufoid", it must be a derivation of dufus...lol
Hence the mention of it in your email to me yesterday? BoomSmilie_anim
