Nice peacefull...... anyone ever been on a balloon trip?
I almost went on a balloon trip once in OM, but not the kind I wanted. Be honest now, who didn't try this at least once in OM.
One supersize party balloon + One OM stove gas cylinder + One braai + One dumb kid !
This has nothing to do with LSD Carl, or does it?

thinking of that story ..two weeks ago about that Catholic priest in Brazil who went up with a whole pile of balloons and a parachute... was he ever found?
They say soo peaceful .. dead quiet , slowly moving along .. the birds even coming up close to observe .. at one with nature .. in awe ... would love to do it ..

Unfortunately not jnr, although I wished there was some available to rub on my :culo1: that evening when my dad came home from work...lol
We had filled this balloon with LPG from the stove cylinders and put it in the neighbours braai.
Sorry to break topic but a lpg ballon on someones braaii .... neighbours of ours built a braai with asbestos chimney et al .. when we saw the braai going first time .. we dropped a whole lot of crackers down the chimney and ran for our lives .. the asbestos pipe chimney even got cracked in the ensuing chatter of explosions .. .. no braai I imagine .. gunpowder flavoured meat is no known speciality ...
:emot19: Well done Sandy. 10/10 for that one. My youngest son pulled that stunt on me last new years eve. He dumped a monster cracker in my braai whils't I wasn't looking. Instant destruction. I was going to give him the hiding of his life, when I suddenly got this flashback of my own LPG filled balloon incident in OM. In the end he got away with a bighug and a stern reprimand.
As kids in Omund, we tried throwing a match down the fuel tank Of John Roberts Dad's Brown car.....lucky for us , there must have been some protective thing on the fuel tank..... the other one was throwing empty deoderant cans on the braaifire.... oh and the odd lighter.....
@ Michael. WTF were you guys thinking? Luckily it didn't go up...lol
Deoderant cans were a favourite during our last few months of national service. I was stationed at AFB Swartkop in PTA. Our bungalows were across the road, next to the Air Force Gymnasium were the roofies did their basics. As "ou manne" we pretty much had the run of the place after hours. The hot water for the showers came from an open coal fired "boiler" type arrangement and was normally fired up at about 4pm by one of the darkies from the kitchen.
We had this pact going at that time that no roofie would have a hot shower on our watch. After we had showered, a can of deoderant was promptly dispatched into the boiler. No more fire, no more hot water. Spectacular entertainment value.
