Hi Rhona - the only thing is with the fireplace - it gets used as a dumping ground - and if my youngest is either in it or fills it with toys. The damn thing has never been used for a fire.
There's an idea for a new topic -- KRAP WE PUT IN OUR HOMES AND NEVER USE........

A "special" banana loaf I hope .. yes those lovely old fireplaces .. Ihave two such .. do not use them much .. the chimneys were rebuilt and modern builders just dont seem to get it right with dimensions .. i get this down draught and smoke billows back .. also they requrie tending and of course cleaning .. I am going to try fitting those metal directional things on top and then see .. Its winter and we have a power crisis .. so lets burn up some forest ..

Hey Cheeky - I had to go back along the topic to get a look at the 'old' fireplace pictures that I missed and what did I find only the same original photo.........that's not an old fireplace - that's the same as my one and it is absolutely fantastic...
The banana loaf was special - it started off as an experiment; I added apricots; cranberries and wallnuts and I can only say that I am waisted in a lab - it was absolutely delicious...

No Prob Bob .. he quite at ease with his disabilty .. and so am I .. after all its there and no use being sensitive about it . he has this perfect plastic arm and hand in his skin tone .. we always laugh cos when he arrives to work .. Tina my dysfunctional dog still tries to be the good guard dog .. so i tell him give her the plastic hand to bite .. that ought to mindf::k her ..
