Does anyone know of the Shearer family. The daughter's name was Lynn and the son's name was Michael. They lived in First Avenue.

yes, there seemed to be lots of paths with wooden railings and creepers.
I remember their garden too. I remember helping them hunt for their easter eggs one year. For some reason they had chocolate pipes with chocolate tobacco... I thought that was soooo exotic and wondered why my Mum and Dad only ever bought us rabbits and eggs! I remember being very scared of Yvonne Shearer..... she was soooo strict with Michael and Lyn.... put the fear of God into me!

Remember Jack McBride keeping the power station going for many a year, and most efficiently so. A most likeable fellow. His good wife Dorothy was a very helpful and highly competent secretary to a string of personnel managers.If they still around I wish them good cheer.

Wow! Lovely to hear news about Michael Shearer. That's him holding my hand in front of OPS in my photos. My Mum and his Mum were always pairing us off together.... highly embarassing even at the tender age of 5!
