Hi Michael,
I'm sure that I speak on behalf of all O.Munders when I say a heartfelt THANK YOU for all your hard work and dedication. In fact the words "thank you" hardly begin to express the appreciation we have for what you have given to us. We've found memories long forgotten, made contact with long last friends and made new friends along the way. You have brought to life the unique experience of being an Oranjemunder. This is an absolute labour of love on your part and we salute you!! bravo
Kindest regards,
Sandy
Yea, I'll second that.

You all make me blush! It's more than a pleasure! :emot112_2:
Well said Sandy.
I have to agree. Michael, your site (addictive or not!) has really been a blessing in the sense that I had no way of telling people how great my first years have been as a child born and raised in Oranjemund. Now I don't feel alone anymore, the whole lot of you have seen to the re-birth of old memories, and I'm soooo glad there's people who feel like I do about the same place and had the same experiences. Nobody can take that away from us. We're blessed, and I'm proud to be part of this experience you created. Thank you, thank you!!!!
daman beautiful cheers

Don't worry Michael, we know the real truth! There's only one beautiful colour. I think you should take a certain colour off the palette at the top, it's making me nauseous.
The colour you are refering to is permanetly embeded in the entire internet!!

Mike, how can I thank you for making me an addict! I know I lurk most of the time but its so addictive that I want to come to work at weekends to log on and see what is new! We all grew up in a fantasy. Nobody outside of this town, or even living here now, can believe what we had when we were growing up. Sharing all these memories also makes it more real. You tend to think that you are looking at your past with rose tinted glasses but all these people on the forum have the same stories and experiences, spread over 4 decades. Some things we forget and all of a sudden someone mentions it, or we think that we dreamt but it did exist (like the mini garden that use to be where the Adult Library is - Diana mentioned that some time ago). My children also grew up in Oranjemund and when the time comes they will also add their memories, but for the moment they laugh when I start with: "Maar in my dae". I thank you for having the dream and making all of us part of that. May the good memories continue to come, the discussions and opinions continue be as interesting as they are and may we meet more of our fellow Oranjemunders. And please stay positive, I believe that Oranjemund will still be here for a long time. Whew, I can ramble!
Mike, you deserve all that praise, it comes from the heart.........
I also thank you for all the efforts you made.......i know how much work and time it costs
althought you are from the green fraction, we still like you
I was so engrosed in forum addiction yesterday that I completely missed my lucky Nelson. Posting #777 came and went before I could heed Robert Bruce's warning to leave the keyboard alone. Thanks again Michael and everybody else who has made this site so great! e154

Michael, I often come in here and spend many an hour or two reading posts, looking at the same pics over and over. It would not be possible to go back down memory lane if it were not for this site, that you have created. I know that its a labour of love but also know that alot of hard work and commitment has gone into making this site what it is. A big thank you to you but also to your better half "Michele" for sharing you with us! Thanks to both of you!!
