When ever I see new photoes on the site I always show the two ladies I work with the pictures ..... and we are all so jealous.  Camping here is just not the same thing ,  the weather here always puts a dampner on everthing .

Oh yes. I camped in Conty Claire and Kerry in the mid 80s. If we hadn't been testing all Irish pubs we would've been more pissed off than pissed. lol
But still. Ireland is so beautifull. Love it.

We are thinking about getting a campervan and going to differnt places on the weekend.  There are so many things here that I haven't seen and would love to do more with the kids before they decide they don't need us anymore.  Or they are too cool to spend time with their parents.  Need to get a move on - time goes so quickly.
But there is light on the horizon - got good news today , my working hours have been cut down from 36-40 hours a week to 16 hours a week , from August I will only be working on a tuesday and thursday.  Will be able to spend more time with my two beautiful boys and my lovely husband.   allgood

We love camping.  At times only the kids and I can just pack up a tent and go camping for just one night, or I might take Boet & his fishing gear and we two can go camping or the kids sometimes even go by themselves.

This far we have been very lucky - never have we had something stolen from our sites or were our cars/bakkies broken into or has anyone tampered with the quads when we leave them at the campsites.  One night in the caravan park at Henties in 2007 March, we forgot one of the fishing rods next to the bakkie.  Next morning the 'tate' security guard came round very early - told us he had taken it the previous evening and put it at his place - thought we might go out early again, so he brought it back & told us to be more carefull, 'cos people do steal your stuff.  (He scored himself lekker freshmade grounded coffee & helluva breakfast & some braai meat  -  just think what a new rod & reel costs!)

Even got an old caravan on the farm the kids use for camping on the farm during holidays  -  sometimes I don't even see them for like 3 days.  Friends also come to the farm sometimes and ask if they can just camp out in the field & we let them.  I am currently fixing a space among some accacia trees as a camp site on the farm  -  nothing grand - using all natural stuff like dry branches for fencing & making shower area.  Natural stone stack - no cement - for fireplace  -  etc etc.  Think it will turn out ok.
