I just scanned these two old photo's that came from Kolmanskuppe, no idea who are what these gents were up to. Note the Kiaser on the wall. If anyone has anything to add...go for it....
Mike, I'll try and get these pictures printed and go ask one of my patients who might be able to add some info on the pictures. Oom Julius Weiland - He was born in Kolmanskop in 1920, and is currently in an old age home in Kuilsrivier. One of my favorite patients. Very "with-it" and still going very strong. He's a real treat. Enjoys "mixit", fixes anything and everything, and recently grew a beard in an attempt to keep all the old ladies away!!!! It didn't work, he says they're still after his body!!!!!
lol
You seem to be leading an interesting life Bertie.
Never a dull moment around here, Georg!
iknow
Maybe I should also print them out ans post them to Aunty ANita Reschke...... she might also know something....
@ Mike - Good idea. I remember Oom Mickey Reschke (Hope spelling of name is correct).
Now sadly... the Late Mickey Reschke..... ANita comes up to Oranjemund once every one or two years......
Hi Bertie pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzz try and get as much info about Kolmans from Oom Julius Weiland. We need to get this info from these old Kolmankoppers before they pass on.

He he he Mike, you dont expect anyone that old to know them ???? Imagine, thats 100 years ago, but a nice document of the time
Ja, but some of those people in that particular two pics, just still might have relatives living out here.....
Anyhow.... those old pics are still awesome, just to sit there and study the entire snap..............
these chaps could be the Germans, i.e August Stauch and his team prior to 1918 or it could be the early CDM guys after 1919.
Looks like a German contingent Leon. Have a pic of some of the early CDM folk such as Henry Hull, de Villiers Graaf, Ernest Oppenheimer, August Stauch, Herr Lubbert, Mine Manager Hans Horlein, none of whom appear here. CDM was only established in 1920 accoding to their Memorandum and Articles of Association.
