Here are a few aerial snaps of the town, either late 60's or early 70's....
Great pics Mike.
Now you just look at what the 1st Ave. bushes used to be like. hat's the way I remember them. In google you can see there are not too many left. But you've already explained why Mike. I remember. Wha a pity.
I have circled my house that I stayed in for 20 years in 1970 it was already built a full 15 years before I was born.
Judging by the size of some of the trees, these pics must've been aken in the 60s Mike.
Could be late 60's Georg, as those 4 bedroom houses at the bottom of the pic were being built in 1965.Alfred was born in 66 and we moved to one of them (brand spanking new) the same year.
These pics are before June 1969 as lived in E12-5th Avenue, next to the X-ray dept - in the pic the house has not been built yet and we moved to O'Mund in 1969.

Hi Jeremy
Myself and wife Toni and young son David lived across road from you (pink house) in the late 70's. I had the golden Ducati motorbike which you may recall. I used to walk to the tech from this house where I taught at the time.We later moved into one of the new houses that were built on the old reclamation yard site.

Hey Sandy, we were almost neighbours. We moved from 3rd ave to E42-11th in 1980.
