Title: Dinosaur Rock!
Post by: Michael Alexander on June 13, 2008, 12:52:52 PM
I was scanning some old photo's of the general geology of the old mine, circa 1960's.... does'nt the below snap look like the head of a donisaur, or is it just me and my imagination..

Absolutely nothing wrong with a fertile imagination ... its a  gift of childhood thats lost to so many as they grow up .. regard yourself as special and blessed if you still have it despite the  rigours of growing up and being responsible ..  so look to the clouds , look at anything and see what comes to you first .. have fun !!

I guess deep down, I was kinda hoping our resident archaeologist, Alexandre' or somebody to a similar profession was gonna jump up and say...Whoa! You people, MIB ...what have you done with that rare Fossilized Thingymacalitcharasourus?

ironic enough, I see there is a presentation being given next week in Oranjemund on the fossils of the Sperrgebiedt, should be interesting, the team has been doing work here since 1993 I believe...... just wonder how many members of the present community are into this type of thing.....

Hoo boy .. I can see the imaginations are running wild .. so folks  how many clouds did you look at today ?/ for us in CT it was just a big grey experience .. I  lit a fire  and kept it going most of the day .. each time i looked out I could see no  saurus of any sort ...

Thinking back, if memory serves me well, there was a rather obnoxious consulting engineer from Head office who went missing on the mine round about that time. Could it be..........?
