@ Georg snr - Wow, good job! daman
Do you remember the different colour coded buses? They had these "colored sunscreens" above the front windows to indicate which route they took. Like Orange would go past the store, for instance, and the green to a different part of town?
No Bertie, i only rember the main coulours, that was blue in my time.
When i arrived they had that luxury coach Mercedes, looked good and was comfortable.
We also took a trip to Lüderitz with that. Good drive....
One of Mikes Pics also has the later models
Great Pics i´d say
Very good oldman.
do you think you could get nr. 10347 fixed up to. The bus looks familiar to me. Maybe I'd see it better then.

Excellent, we have an artist!
No artist but a hard working member of the forum trying to participate
Hope i qualify now as spray painter for CDM LOL
I think the coulors make it more interesting, this one was a lot of experimenting
I have done private B/W to coulour, took me up to a days work, well worth it on old sentimental stuff
Brilliant stuff Georg...Just brilliant!
Thanks hey!
If I see right, this was one of the buses running in the 70s. If it's the one I believe it to be, it was my favorite. I think we had the red route to our place.
By the way. It wasn't blue nor green....

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the bus photographs, triggered some of the grey matter, in one of my topics I mentioned a red bus that had collected us at Alex airport in 1961.
The photograph below is it! As far as I can remember it had real leather seats and also did the trip between Omund and Luderitz in the 60s, which we as a family did a few times.
Some of the other buses were used to bus people leaving town on holiday from the old xray in 5th avenue to their private vehicles at Swatkops. Who can forget catching the buses to go to boarding school and having those who were leaving on the afternoon flight running next to the bus as it left the old xray.
Thanks again.
Keep well.
@ Richard
So my colours are wrong !!!
