We watched an awesome movie, called August Rush...... FOr those of you that are looking for a good movie with no guns , swearing and violence and awesome guitar and classical music, this I shall urge you to watch...
There is a haunting version of Moondance in it as well as duelling guitars...
heres the IMDB link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0426931/
Took your advise and rented the movie - what a show; easy watching and thoroughly enjoyable..........can you recomend anything else?
Do yourself a favor and watch Hancock. Will Smith and Charlize Theron. Great comedy with a intense and romantic ending.
Just watched Will Smith in I Am Legend, was hoping for more...... 5/10

23_146_26 What a great movie!!! - okay, just teasing - I agree with you it had such potential and then it was over........maybe preparing us for a sequel.
I watched 'AWAKE' over the weekend.........worth a veiwing
Awake? How old is that movie?
idontknow
@Mike Awake - 2007
Although I have never heard of it...
I can recommend a movie not to watch, The Eye with Jessica (I am not latino) Alba, sorta in the same kinda theme as The Grudge. What a load of crap... I am Ledgend was not really that bad though, although Rhona like you said it is probably leaving us open for a sequel. But if the sequel is anything like the sequel for 28 Days Later, then it will suck ass even more.
@Mike, I have Bill and Teds excellent adventure and Bill and Teds bogus journey on DVD if you want....
Oh and if you into celeb gossip, check out Hollywoods most hated site on the net... www.perezhilton.com, what a laugh
Awake is only out on DVD recently - about a guy having a heart transplant - but the anesthetic doesn't put him completely under (queue the music for the twilight zone - do do do do!!!!)
Most sequels don't match up to the original - although I loved each and every one of the SAW movies......
SAW was not bad, I lost the plot in number 2 though...
Watch KUNG FU PANDA if you have not watched it... Brilliant and hilarious.
@Milke - Low and behold, out at sea now and what do I find on the server here AWAKE... browsed it real quick, looks like a decent thriller, only actor I recognised was the dude from jumper, the young guy. Dunno how to spell his name and too lazy to look it up on the net. Also got, The new HULK, Wanted and Hancock... if you are interested...
@David, please feel free to er! uhm! do the normal thing and return from the vast ocean with a bounty for me, contact me when you set foot ashore......
woo_hoo
@Mike, you got a cell number... I am coming off today, but only for this afternoon and evening, flying back to sea tomorrow again.
Ooooh! I saw WANTED as well...........think I enjoyed it
Angelina Jolie is smoking hot, shew..... 23_11_61

Hey mike, watched August Rush last night - absolutely flippin' awesome stuff - many lumps in the throat - since becoming a mom, have become more emotional in movies, never used to, only with animals - now anything to do with animals & kids brings that lump and a tear or two. Anybody who still hasn't seen it, you're missing out big time..........
Delia, just finished two books you would love. "Eat, Pray, Love" and "The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari". Ties in with our look for spirituality.
Hey Florrie - howzit - long time no chat - weird, those specific two are on my veeeeeeery long list of books to read next to my veeeeery tall pile on my bedside table.
I actually saw the Oprah interview with the author of Eat, Pray, Love focusing specifically on that book and put it on my to read list then. Will definitely get to it. "The Monk who sold his Ferrari" keeps popping up all around me as well - there's obviously a message in there for me so will get to that too. Busy with Paulo Coelho's "The Pilgrimage" at the moment - love the way he writes - he makes a complex subject so easy to understand. Next on my list is Deepak's "Ageless Body, Timeless Mind" - found it in Langebaan over the hols for R30.........bargain deluxe.......me happy chappy.......i refuse to pay the prices they ask for new books nowdays so i trawl every 2nd hand bookshop & flea market i come across - i'm like an addict, just can't walk past anything with 2nd hand books without going in........you can find the most amazing books for next to nothing if you're willing to scratch and trawl.............my daughter just rolls her eyes when she sees me in action.........
