I always call my off saturday's during rugby season, Super Saturdays.... The weather is perfect here, a mild 25 degrees, my fridge is bursting with beer, the braai meat has been marinated.... My mp3 collection is ready to roll.... and my Cheetahs take the sharks on in Durban at 16h00.... I'm gonna have a moerofa day...

U support the local sides over there?

How's it hanging Mike,
Your "Super Saturday's" sound pretty awesome! I support the Springboks big time, always have. I became a "rugby tragic" whilst residing in New Zealand, and supported the All Blacks during the time that the Boks were in the sporting wilderness. Once they were readmitted to the international fold, it has been the Boks all the way. I don't support any of the local sides, but out of the Aussie sides, I would go for the Western Force, as they are obviously the home side. We get some of the Curry Cup games televised on Pay TV here. Usually the semi's and final etc. Not live though.

I love the super 14, and to Gabi's displeasure, watch every game (94 this season,I think, with the world cup still to come ....... Yiiiiihaaaaa). I have some very late nights when watching the Saffa games. Mike, I'm afraid that this is where I am going to disappoint you. I'm a closet W.Province supporter ......... Yeah, I know, I can hear the abuse from there already ...... LOL. You see Mike, it all stems from my boarding school days at SACS in Newlands. Destiny was written all those years ago for me. I would like WP to take the title, but at the end of the day, I don't care who wins it, as long as it is a Saffa team!!
I hope you have a lekker day, and enjoy those Windhoeks. Have one for me. It's been too long since I last had a Windhoek run down my throat. Just don't get too pissed, or you may miss some great rugby!!

I guess if I had to pick an Aussie side it would be the Force, they gave a lot of teams a fright this year and can only improve to become the best Aussie side anyhow.... I'm off to the beach with the dog and the girls and the neighbours kids, it's lekker quiet down there at this time..... lotsa sandcastles to build...  ;D , ( I just build them because the kids asked me too, Ahem! )

Wp, are a shambles at the moment, bankrupt, mismanaged, and our (Cheetahs) coach has signed up with them, Rassie will pull them right...... Newlands is empty these days.....\

Anyhow, one of those beers is for you , the other for Robert and off course one for Bobby...

:D

Hello again Michele, ...... ROT ....... A little extreme maybe, but do confess to a little TERMITE affliction in my AUTUMN years. Hope your week has been fun. Mine has been a little on the BORING side. Is it a FIGment of my imagination, or have I just perhaps been GRAFTing too hard?  :-\

Hi Nicky, I had a rather FRUITFUL week, just my youngest SAPLING is driving me BANANAS. Can't see the WOOD for the TREES when she is around - which is at the moment so will have to go now!

I totally understand, one cannot just PALM off the little ones. Try reading them the story of "Jack and the BEANSTALK". IT was very POPLAR when I was younger.

Unfortunately she has outGROWN such children's stories and nursery rhymes such as "ORANGES & LEMONS", "ring a ring a ROSIE" and "Peter Peter PUMPKIN eater". Her mind is like ARID SOIL and SOAKS up everything! She is much happier chewing GUM and going to the BEECH!

The NURTURING now, will surely BARE FRUIT for the HARVESTING later, when the PICKINGS are RIPE. With all your hard work, the ORCHARD shall BLOSSOM.

Luckily as mother EARTH I have a SPRING in my step and am hoping that the APPLES don't fall too far from the TREE in that they don't become INFECTED with the FUNGI of this world! One has to have a deep ROOTED set of principles in order for the PRODUCE to GROW and FLOURISH.

You must enjoy these CULTIVATING years MIchele, because one day they will be SPRUCEing themselves up, ready for a drive in a sportscar with no CANOPY. Alas, these are the days of CROSS POLLINATION. A little like Yin and Yan, or simply put, FAUNA and FLORA.

Nicky, you are SAPping my STEM cells!!!!

We had a braai with the old OAKS yesterday (being my dad - Mike Voden and Mike's dad, Jock Alexander) and we had a good RAKE over the coals. It is wonderful having a good FOUNDATION right here with us in O'mund!
Too bad, our eldest FELL and hurt her upper LIMB whilst rollerBLADEing.

Was also good to DIG out old ROOTS with Sylvia and Gilbert Kermis on Saturday at Warren's DEN.

Alright YEW two, that's quite enough, THISTLE have to go down as one of the punniest weeks is hisTREE. You might be the best of FRONDS now days but that wont stop people from PALMing this sort of humour off on you. It's all well and good using the forum to say ALOE every now and then but if given the chance I wouldn't be at all suprised if either of you ROSE to the occasion and took the hELM at this sort of thing. I know it doesn't make you any more POPLAR than a sunny day at the BEECH on a HOLLY day but it won't be long till you run out of puns, get completely BAMBOOzled and see this crumble into a pile of ASH... Sorry to give you so much STICK though by GUM.

OLIVE this sort of thing!!!!

Sounds like you just PLOUGHED through your weekend, Michele. I was the houseb*tch this weekend, so had to see to some of the chores. Apart from washing the SOILed clothing, I also tried my hand at gardening ....... PLANTED a few BULBS etc. Sorry to hear that your eldest got injured. Maybe try something safer, like playing the TUBA. Hey, welcome back Paul, have you been HIBERNATING? Not a bad POST!! One could LICHEN it to the CHERRIE on top. Sounds as if you want us to NIP this CAPER in the BUD though?

Hey Paul, did you think WE'ED SHRIVEL up and LEAF you alone? Don't tell me you TWIGGED me for some LILY livered lass! I'm gonna WATER me down with some CACTUS Jack, or maybe BRANCH out into CANE and coke, to get the JUICES flowing. But for now I'm going to be BEDDING down! Don't want to become a THORN in your side!

Pity the PROTEAS aren't batting at the moment, at least I'll have the WELWITCHIA'S to look forward to on Wed evening!

Hey Nicky - sure your surname isn't spelt Hedge!

Actually Michele, I was known as HEDGEHODGE at high school whenever I had my hair TRIMMED.  Do you think that Paul is trying to SQUASH our idea of fun? I reckon you should take him down to your local WATERING HOLE for a drink of HOPS, just to DAMPEN him down a little. He will soon realise that his efforts will prove FRUITLESS. Make sure he drinks some AMARULA with a STRAW. Be a bit carefull with him though, as he may reach the FORK in the road, and get caught up with a local HOE. Maybe he's just one of those guys that likes calling a SPADE a SPADE.
On all things sport, I wonder how a game between the WELWITCHIA'S and the WARATAH'S would go? I think the SILVER FERNS would MOW them all down though.

Ag Nicky - I shouldn't give a FIG about what Paul thinks, he is probably suffering from MOTHER-IN-LAWS TONGUE from the week-end and is probably IMPATIENTS to add his WHITTLE. His mom-in-law is actually such a SWEETPEA, a real BUSY LIZZIE!

I do however get the feeling this is going to GROW PEAR-shaped from here, think my blonde ROOTS are starting to show! Well, I'd better stop BRAMBLING on and POTTER around with the PAPYRUS on my desk!
Title: Re: NICKY! Good Morning!
Post by: Nicky Hodge on August 16, 2007, 12:36:38 PM

Hi Michele, back again!! Were you wondering where I've BEAN?  Sounds as if Paul had a stressful weekend. A MOTHER IN LAW'S TONGUE can be quite sharp at times .... A little like POISON IVY.
This could all BLOW over as you say, but I think we're like two PEAS in a POD when it comes to the challenge. It's not driving me NUTS just yet, but is probably on the HORIZON. My grandma DAISY would be good at this.

So you both assumed I'd WILT under the onlsaught, but I assure YEW both the my mind is most FERTILE at this point if we can't find a response of our own WHEEL BARROW one from somebody else.  It's not so much the puns that are hard but the COMPOSTition thereof into a sentence. I've been scouring around to see if I can DIG up enough DIRT on you both but FORK that I say, its time to move on I cant TOIL on any more with you SODS, who knows what else WOOD SPROUT if I stuck around any more, I may even have to SHOOT myself, my STAMINa has peaked...

Hey Nicky, my BUD, thought you were TRAILING behind the scenes somewhere. Earning your BREAD 'N BUTTER on the GRAVY TRAIN where you? Thought we might SCRAMBLE things up a bit in here and see what BLOSSOMS,  wouldn't want the pc EGGSpert to ban us from the forum would we? Can't handle it when his PROCESSOR FLIPS out.

Nicky - time for some useless family TREE info -did you know Paul has another two sister-in-laws called Michelle? Well, one of them had a BUN in her OVEN, and eventually had the baby by C-section today! Her delivery date EXPIRED about 10 days ago. Congratulations to Christie and Michelle, you'd better STOCK UP on Doctor Seus "EGGS and HAM"!

(We shall have to be very careful of CROSS-POLLINATION when the kids grow up)

At least Paul has a real picture for his avitar now, didn't go much on the TASTELESS picture he had before, was about time he AXED it.

Well, my TIMER has gone so I'd better say CHOW!

Hi again my old FROND. Great news on Michelle and Christie's new addition to the UNDERGROWTH. I bet they have been preparing the NURSERY in anticipation. Loads of reading to do now ....... The GINGERBREAD man, PEANUTS, Peter PAN, even" War and PEAS". Do you ever look at a SAPLING and wonder what sort of music they might end up listening to? I mean there is such a variety out there these days .... From WRAP to ROCK , UNDERGROUND to POP. Classics like Elvis PARSLEY'S "Love me TENDER", to the B52's " Rock LOBSTER". For the twisted minds, Weird Al Jankiewics' "EAT it". For the theatrical, "FOOD glorious FOOD" from the production OLIVEr, and from the seventies generation, who could forget that hit "POPCORN"? By the way Michele, have you seen the movie ''Ratatouille'' yet? It's a HALVE BAKED story about a rat wanting to become a chef .... Supposed to be quite APPETIZING.

Hello there, my partner in GRIME. Was BUSY as a BEE this week-end. Had MULTIPLE kids BEDDING over on Friday night. Also took the OFFSPRING and their BUDS to the big POND yesterday for them to get WATERLOGGED, at least I could enjoy myself BAKING in the SUN on the GRASS.

We are very behind the times here, FIRM favourite remains PULP Fiction, starring Samuel L. JACKSON, also John Travolta, who we GREW to love in GREASE. The movie CHOCOLAT also has a good PLOT.

Music - at the moment Shania TWINE is POPLAR with the OFFSPRING. Did you know that MANGO Groove played here in O'mund? Pete Shout, another member of the forum, has a group called BEDROCK and Paul plays in the band Snoblind - pretty impressive for HOMEGROWN PRODUCE!

Guns N ROSES, The SHADOWS, BEATLES, BLACK-EYED PEAS,FreshlyGROUND (new SA Group),  Kate BUSH -  to name a few favourites that SPRING to mind!

Don't want to embarress myself with an attempt to join in your gardening banter,
but thought you'd like this ad I saw recently,
made me think of you two.

I'm as sharp as a LEMON but as soft as a PEACH - but don't worry, I'm not BANANAS.
Drop me a LIME and I promise we'll have a GRAPE time even if we don't live APPLEy ever after.
My ideal MANGO is a music-loving scruff with a nice PEAR of eyes and a PITHY sense of humour.
I'm not too keen on suit-clad SMOOTHIES or meathead vegetables. I'm curvy (I could say something about MELONS here, but I won't), dark-haired and definitely not ORANGE.
I BERRY much like gigs, festivals, writing, London, throwing parties, dancing, reading, karaoke, talking and booze. Oh, and FRUIT.
So get in touch - it's a PLUM deal.

PS. I don't normally talk like this. It JUICE sort of happened and I know it's CHERRY annoying.

Well, Michele
I don't want to "krap in jou SLAAI", but the SEEDS have been sown.

As I sit and sip my GRAPE cultivar and chew on the BARK, I find I really have little of ESSENCE to share.
Luckily my SAPLING is out and about hopefully not sowing his SEED, but at 16 and prooving as POPLAR as he is, I can't help my mother  EARTH concerns to rear their BUDS.  I resist and their ROOTS shivel as I refuse to MANURE them.

Am IMPATIENCE come Thursday there won't be a MUSHROOM of catasrophies as the exam results are released.

How am I doing?

ALOE , ALOE, ALOE, ....... Hey Barbara, you've  been sitting back watching us like a "FRY on the wall", haven't YEW? WELL,WELL, WELL I welcome you with BRANCHES adrift, and quite frankly it's about THYME, as you are bound to have it in the GENES, with a Mom named FLORA etc. It can be quite challenging trying to get a particular word to fit into a meaningful sentence though. A little like a hobo wearing a tWEED suit .... Sometimes it just don't look right. Some ideas that CROP up have to be TURFED out. Wasn't sure if you were aware of it Barbara, but the topics have become somewhat of a HYBRID, incorporating both cooking and gardening. Good luck!!

Hello Michele, I haven't forgotten you, I've just been STEWING over some ideas. My brain is in a slight VEGETATIVE state at present, ever since our dog escaped from our backyard. I have been trying to fence him in with bits of timber, but Gabi reckons I should just buy a PROPAGATE. Oop's I am going to have to take an urgent LEEK now, as I have been drinking a fair bit of ROOIBOS tonight (think it's diVINE), so will try and catch up again toMARROW.

PS. A couple more stories to read to the OFFSHOOTS : 1. BANANAS IN PYJAMAS
                                                                           2. ZUCCHINI"S IN BIKINI"S

what a CHAIN of events,

As GROUND BREAKING as this site is, renewing old friends who grew up as companions, it may just prove to GERMINATE new friends INTERTWINED in their habit of ORGANIC SPAMming, TRANSPLANTING new FIBRES into the social comment.

As INDIGENOUS Namibians many of us now find ourselves TRANSPLANTED in ALIEN lands, which as in my case is the land of my parents.  It has taken me many SEASONS and STAMINa to SPROUT and take ROOT.

Look at me BAYing and RAMBLING on, what about the fencing and DOG?
Which brings me to the necessity of stating that in no way do I want the LION share of any SPAM, I just can't resist a BARREN page.

My wheelie bin is filled and as a result needed to place the most recently filled black bag of  well MATURED waste on the top, only to come home and find the local WILDLIFE has had a go at it, SQUIRRELS!!

PAW PAW, how I miss real animals! and as WOODY as this may seem, together with the RED ROBINS that is my only experience of FAUNA.

So my LICHEN VANILLA PODS, (is that politically incorrect) let me go before I get even more SEEDy and CORNy.

BAY BAY till later
oh, on children's books - SQUIRREL MUNCHKINS and peter PAN.

Welcome to the PACK Barbara, like I said I needed more BITCHES in here for back-up! I've just been HOUNDing my LITTER to BUDGIE their butts and get off the pc, as I couldn't wait to get my CANINES stuck into the webpage, might have to start taking my APPLE-mac home to the DEN of an evening.

You will have to excuse Nicky as he can be quite DENSE at times, as for Paul - he seems a bit SPARSE lately, but his BARK is worse than his BITE.

Did you guys ever play stuck in the MUD, HIDE & seek or SNAKES & ladders? Or watch PUMPKIN PATCH, GummyBEARS or Kermit the FROG? Luckily it is school hols at the moment, the kids are going to be making HOTDOGS with TOMATO sauce for FODDER at the daycare today. They have a WHALE of a time there with the rest of the FLOCK.

Where do you buy your tea Nicky - must cost a MINT if it is imported, do you take it with a slice of LEMON and a drop of HONEY? Must say I enjoy a cup of GREEN tea in the morning.

As for books, The Faraway TREE, by Enid Blyton - still have the book, enjoy LEAFing through it and reading it to the youngest. Favourite NURSERY rhymes will have to be Mary had a Little LAMB and BAA, BAA Black SHEEP, OWL and the PUSSYCAT.

Anway, will have to take my NOZZLE out of this and SCRATCH around the DEBRIS on my desk, before I'm too POOPed!
Title: Re: NICKY! Good Morning!

Michele,
Nikki is quiet as a church MOUSE and Paul as silent as the LAMBS no matter

And so the story runs along, I am busy as a MUTT preparing for the bank holiday weekend with the PRIDE who will be TRANSPLANTING themselves in my spare rooms, a pack of mad DOG friends, in the midday sun up for a FEAST of CARCASS roasting.
Visits to the public WATERING holes have become an EXTINCT activity, as the BITCHES are all on HEAT and travel in FERAL PACKS. we prefer TAME house TRAINED fraternizing.
The only African FLAVOUR in our JUNGLE will be me and the boereWORS.
We have HUNTED and GATHERED provisions SCATTERED and HOARDED in the LIAR,
including HOPS, GRAPES, BARLAY and  GRAIN all FERMENTED and or distilled.
my WHELP will vacate his KENNEL which needs to be AERATED for human HABITATION.  He is tall as a BEANPOLE and enjoying his summer holiday running with his PACK. more like SPOT in the PARK. I think he has a ITCH that needs SCRATCHING.

Walter the Farting DOG is amusing read for JUVENILE members, Lady and the Tramp is a old classic.
Artemis FOWL, is a good COLLECTION, for the LITTER if they are older.

roasted BEANS vs dried LEAVES – I do prefer my hot drinks full of KICK and with a BITE.

Got to go and SNIFF out the perimeter now, CHOW.

Hi girls, great to see that the topic has now GROWN to include FAUNA!! Since my last tongue WAG, (after that binge of ROOIBOS), I have been marking my TERRITORY. Excuse my absence over the last few days, but things have been hectic. Our daughter added another year to the TREE of life on Wednesday, so we went out to GRAZE. I had RELISHed the thought of posting, but usually on a week night, time is of the ESSENCE. You see, I work twelve hour shifts at a PIGment plant, and only get home at around 7:00 PM. I get every weekend off though, with every second one consisting of a five day break. (It's like having an Easter Weekend plus a day, every second weekend). Awesome!! Today is the start of my long weekend ....... Stone the CROWS.

On all things Fauna, Oz have  their own unique variety, from the WEDGE Tailed Eagle, to the abundant MarSOUPials. ECHIDNA not ... ( I kid you not ..... CORNY), why only the other day we awoke to the laughter of an excited KOOKaburra. They really do "laugh", not like the "warble" of a MagPIE. Of course, of the water variety, one has to be aware of the SALT Water Crocodile. They are the worlds largest reptile, and have been known to reach lengths of 7 metres. Then there's the more timid looking Box JELLYFISH, which may look harmless, but if it stings you, the toxins are so potent that it  can stop cardio-respiratory functions. In fact they actually claim more lives in Oz than snakes, sharks and SALT water crocs. I like the "White Pointers" the best though. (Topless female sunbathers).HE HE. ( Hope that's not too politically incorrect .... ). Luckily we don't have any BOOMslangs here!

To answer your question regarding the purchase of the ROOIBOS, they sell it at our local WOOLworth's, believe it or KNOT. You can buy BOEREWORS at the buchers also. They also sell BILTONG, but it's known as "Roadkill" here. My daughter is having a party on Saturday night, so I will be chucking a portion of dead COW on the flames. Will have to see if my woman can whip up some MONKEY Gland SAUCE. This shall go down nicely with a local BREW.

Our dog is secure now, and is fully fenced in. He is a Golden Retriever (CHAMPAGNE in colour), and his name is CHABLIS ...... As in the white WINE. We also have two cats. One of them is a very talkative red point Siamese, but although very young has failing KIDNEYS.

I WOOD love to converse all day, but have an appointment at the "House Of Pain".( Dentist ). This is the only occasion in life where I get to be " Drilled " by another man ..... I shall leave you two KOOKsisters with that thought ....

What a TREEt, this has completely SPIRALED out of CONTROL now, started with PUNS on TREEs but now we seem to have INCLUDED just about ANYTHING, to hightlight my CONFUSION as to the nature of the PUNS, I've have decided to CAPITLAISE random words in the hope that I get at LEAST a 20% hit with WHATEVER the PREVAILING topic is. CONSIDER this some sort of PROTEST action!!!!

CongRATulations Barbara, you must be proud as a PEACOCK! What FIELD is Finbar going to be studying in? Sounds like you're going to have a HOOT this week-end, hope you don't end up like a BEAR with a sore head!

You'll have to EGGScuse Paul, seems he and Warren will be DESSERTing O'mund this week-end for the big city of Cape Town. Lucky FISH! Seems Paul's lost the PLOT, will have to REIGN him in when he returns.

So Nicky, when can we expect you to be complaining about an EMPTY NEST? My two will be sleeping over at the NEIGHbours tonight so at least we'll have some PEACE IN THE HOME. Hope they don't HORSE around too much and have to count too many SHEEP to fall asleep.

Only until tomorrow when Mike will be PLONKed in front of the tv in support of his CHEETAHS, they play a friendly just before the SPRINGBOKS take on Scotland. Not sure which side EEL be supporting! Will have to ask Arthur about the BULLS and Yolanda about the SHARKS, WEATHER they are playing this week-end in the CURRIE cup.

I'm hope you don't PIG out on your COW, Nicky, Mike will probably SPIT a LAMB or CHICKEN. I'm not keen on MEAT eater, prefer SOYA.

Oh well, like a RAM to the SLAUGHTER, let me say:
See ya later ALLIGATOR, in a while, CROCODILE!

WELL, hello again all. I hope you had a great bank holiday weekend Barbara and trust that your RAVENous TITilations were satisfied by copious amounts of " pleasure in the HEATHER", so to speak.
I see Paul was going to C APE Town this weekend ...... Has he gone to seek professional KELP? I have to agree with you Michele, he does seem a little confused by some of the postings. Paul, you can't protest, .... I KNEAD your support against these two FILLIES.
I hope your weekend was good MiSHELL. Sounds like you and Mike planned for a romanTICK one, FARMing the kids off to the NEIGHbours etc. CongRATS to Mike's CHEETAHS on a very conVINcing win.
I am sTILL enjoying my weekend, as I only go back to WOK on Wednesday. Had a great party on Saturday for Alexa our daughter. Plenty of FOOD, DRINK and music was there to be had by all. Lots of TEAnagers running aMUCK. I had to keep watch with an EAGLE eye, but there were no "awkward'' moments that I was aware of, but then I disappeared for two hours watching the BOKKE triumph over the HAGGIS. I can ASSure you, I aROSE very GINGERly on Sunday.

I guess I shall have to FLOCK off now and await your responses, and find out as to what may have been HERD on the TERRACE.

OIL be off.

sociaLICE duties are ended and fantasTICly even the SUN came out to play after spending days chattering like MONKEYS,  we had a WELL deserved day of  GRAZEing on leftovers with no KNEAD for cooking.

With a head like VIRUS filled hardware, i kept crashing. But my STAMENa got me through in the end or was it the iPOD ......
I blame the shots of CORKeys. (Gift from our norThERN friends), a  CREAM liqueur in STRAWBERRY and CHOCOLATE flavour.
during the jollifiCATion, the HERD were susPEAscious of my boereWORS, with only BILL, the GAMEkeeper, (what a job ?) on the broadlands estate WOLFing it.

KINDling was KNOT a problem as we back onto WOODlands and I learned dead IVY peeled from the BARK of trees makes exCELLant firelighter.

Michele, our BELLE I even threw some MIELIES on the grill in your name.
I saw the picture of your grill on the WEB where was your FODDER.

FINbar snuck a shot of souFERN comfort and had difficELK moment raising himself from his PIT this morning.

Nikki your shift patTERNs sounds like HOLLYday camp, but you no doubt deserve the shutdown THYME.

Hope Paul shows some BALSAM and can LARK about after his weekend in the COSMOpolitan city of the south.
Have you heard about the new BREED - urbancentric metrohetero 21st century male?

Have BEAN PONDering what to do and thought I would KETCHUP on your NOOSE.

We also had a public HOLLYday yesterday, I had to duck into work so left Mike to SUPPERvise the GAGGLE of girls. He SHEPHARDed them off to the BEECH with the DOG and they all got SMOTHERED in COCOA-coloured MUD. Then he took them off to the CEMENTery to REED the graveSTONES.  Guess it BEET being at work!

SOW sorry to hear about all the sore heads, HOPfully tHAY are better today.  Perhaps you should STICK to WATER, or something with less of a KICK for a BIT.

At the moment I am wATEing for our Namib MILLS truck to TURNIP with FLOUR for the shop and tonight we will MEAT with our NEIGHbours for DRINKS and SNACKS at their PLAICE as it is Chris' birthday! He's not over the HILL yet, but will probably feel under the WEATHER tomorrow. Luckily Mike is on LEAF for two days so he can spend tomorrow in HIBERNATION if he overDOSEs tonight. At least we don't have to worry about DRINKING and driving, we just have to stumble home through the ALLEY.

WELL my SWEETIE PIES my STEAM has run out and my brain has GROWN WITHERED so I am going to say GLUTENbye until later! PEAS be with you!

thanks bobby - don't know the names, before my time, i was there 78-82.  a bit of FYI for your sister re miss urie (the dreaded headmistress at wghs/hostel - i'm sure u've heard all about her) - she landed up in the same old age home as my gran here in ct - went to visit my gran just before she died in 1995 and who's sitting out there in the garden as a resident - miss urie! made a huge detour around her (she hated us o'mund girls with a passion) and then saw in the papers about a year later she'd passed on to "the realms of higher learning".

GrEATings again to all. I know, I know, I have BEAN conspicuous by my absence over the last week. If your ASSumptions of me were of a BOARed NATURE, then you would be miSTAKEn. Totally satuRATed by life's daily chores would be closer to the point. May have to resort to weekend postings only. Barbara, fret KNOT, as the dreaded DILLing did not eventuate, but I did get a reFERAL to the health nurse. Apparently the GUMS have receded, due to excessive BRUSHing, LEAFing a few ROOTS exposed.

Noticed that your postings were rather RARE this week also Michele. WELL DONE on trying to juggle motherhood, running the spar and posting to boot. Spring has sprung, and with it, the more FLAVOURable warmer weather. I speak SOLEly for us Southern Hemispherites, as Barbara's weather shall make a TERN for the worst, as it HAILS in the cold SEASON. We on the other hand Michele will have to get used to the smell of smoke from braaied FAUNA , the fizzing of that AMBER fluid and plenty of teen SPIRIT in the air on those BALMy summer evenings.

I noticed that Bobby also made a flEATing appearance on our POTPOURRI segment. BON APPETITE bobby. Are you also looking forward to the Rugby World Cup? I am hoping that the BOKKE can cause a little INDIGESTION by taking the honours ...... Oh what I'd give to hear the WINE and gMASHing of teeth from the other GNATions.

But HAIL, from the ASH the SAGE Nikki has returned, lol.

Yes okay, Michele is putting her POOl up and you all have months of SPROUTing and warmer weather to look forward too while over here in the land of 4 SEASONS the leaves are already falling and we're still waiting for summer.
We had a WHALE of a time in the light, but alas not much sun.

Michele, fEAR KNOT and cease LAMBenting, we WOOD never FLOCK off for too long, as we would BEE like an ALBATROSS PINEing for the Fjords. This is just TREEmendous, communiCATing like we do. I think though that we must prepare for FALLOW times ACACIAnaly my DEER friend. There will be times when the clouds fleEAT past and fALE to empty their contents over the parched SOIL, LEAFing it dry, baron and unproductive. I am sure that your pool has filled up by now, and it got me thinking, do they see themselves as little FISH in a big pond, or big FISH in a little pond?

:DGonna try something new, using song titles containing words about food, flowers and plants.

Hey bulldog(the Beatles)
Shaking like a leaf on a tree(Norma Waterstone) even a  Fake plastic tree(radioheads) in The house of the rising sun(the animals)  on strawberry fields(the beatles),   where nothing but flowers(talking heads), and Poison Ivy(human league) grow I eat Peaches(the stranglers).
With a little help from my friends(Beatles), I'm slip sliding away(Simon &Art) as
I heard it on through the grapevine (Marvin Gaye), Where the Wild Roses Grow - Nick Cave
Could it be the march of the pigs(NIN), or several species of small furry animals(pink floyd), I think I smell a rat(the white stripes).
are you ready for this?

I think the Woodpeckers from Space have landed in my pc and I wish I could say we're all going on a summer holiday as I want to break free from this Jailhouse Rock and pack up my troubles in the old kit bag

I suppose though that the show must go on and my eternal flame will keep me staying alive as I have to look after our house in the middle of the street and will probably end up doing the mashed potato for supper whilst listening to Kate Bush

Yodelahihoo, yodelahihoo!

Yesterday, I had a bad day and was in Dire Straits. Luckily big girls don't cry as we know the sun will come out tomorrow.

Perhaps love we'll have to wake Nicky up before we go-go or should we wait for the chain reaction. Maybe he's once again decided to hit the road Jack and gone looking for Kookaburra sitting in the old gum tree. Like you say - probably just working a hard day's night.

Remember the song By the Rivers of Babylon - we used to sing By the Rivers of Beauvallon when we were kids? Also the song We're the kids of America - was changed to We're the kids of Oranjemund! Happy Days are here again!

Say you, say me, Shannon has a sleepover party tonight so I'm sure they'll be dancing in the moonlight, just hope they won't be burning down the house, although I'm sure they will be burning the Midnight Oil whilst they sing Happy Birthday before blowing out the candle in the wind.

Well Bar,bar, bar, barbarbaran I'm going to have to fly like the Eagles and from the Sound of Music sing So long, farewell.........

Lets hope there is less of the Shock the Monkey business in the sleep over, will the  girls be allowed any Dancing In The Street.

Do You Remember The First Time you were allowed to Stay Up Late and all the Talk Talk that was done, giving us Reasons To Be Cheerful.  Enjoy it this way round it's fun.

Heaven Is A Place On Earth especially in the southern hemisphere even when you are a Working Class Hero as our Hound dog friend Nicki appears to be. Back in the saddle again soon I hope.
Finbar has serious case of Puppy Love and with the eye of a tiger is Steppin' Out but has a  Walkin' After Midnight punishment. At sixteen no doubt he'll be a member of Achy breaky heart club soon.

It's 9 o'clock on a Saturday and I'm going to have to move it, move it.

I heard it through the grapevine that Nicky was online this morning. Maybe now he will rise to the occassion!

I hear the Springboks are leaving on a jet plane for the World Cup, no doubt all their supporters will be singing Hier kom die Bokke, Hier kom die Bokke! I hear France was singing Don't cry for me Argentina last night.

I didn't receive an SOS from my brown-eyed girl last night so am sure they had the best day of their lives

Well I'm going to have to Walk like an Egyptian and keep on running!

Eish, since my last visit it looks like THE TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGING. I have been ON THE ROAD AGAIN, but I STILL HAVEN'T FOUND WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR.

SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THIS :
I spent the night saying COME ON ElLEEN, some guys need a little SEXUAL HEALING and you know I'm  ADDICTED TO LOVE. Why don't you START ME UP I said, to which she replied LOVE ME TENDER or something. In between me thinking ISN'T SHE LOVELY and her saying RESPECT YOURSELF, I heard that familiar HOLD ON I'M COMING song. LOVE IS ALL AROUND me I kept thinking ( WET,WET,WET). Isn't THE POWER OF LOVE amazing, and just to think that IT STARTED WITH A KISS.

Ok, BACK TO REALITY ..... Michele seems quite busy today, with all that activity (MOVE IT, MOVE IT,WALK LIKE AN EGYPTIAN and KEEP on RUNNING etc.). I SEE YOU BABY, SHAKING THAT ASS ..... And let me see you SHAKE YOUR TAIL FEATHER. I can see you now, doing all your chores to HIPPY HIPPY SHAKE, by the BEATLES. Incidentally Michele, were you aware that a lot of the Beatles music was recorded under the APPLE Label? Enjoy your weekend, MICHELE, MY BELLE.

Barbara, sounds like WORKING 9 TO 5 is a thing of the past these days hey? I guess you have to strive for those CAREER OPPORTUNITIES. Chin up and DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY. Finbar sounds like a CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF at the moment. Poor bloke sounds HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLF. Tell him that the stages of love in the musical world start with ALL BY MYSELF, searching high and low in AIN'T NO MOUNTAIN HIGH ENOUGH, eventually finding that true love ALWAYS ON MY MIND, then ending in heartache with AIN'T NO SUNSHINE WHEN SHE'S GONE. Then before you know it, you swear the song  ARE YOU LONESOME TONIGHT was written just for you.

Well, it's time to say,
SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED.

whatcha doin tonite ?

Somewhere over the rainbow, is nicki slip sliding away, or is it a case of stray cat strut. Great balls of fire you feeling good after all that business with naughty lady of shady lane, take five and remember our lips are sealed.

Wild horses couldn't rouse Finbar from his walk on the wild side but a call from his dad and he's got a ticket to ride.  Lets hear it for the boy.
It's the final countdown and the bokke are under pressure, that's the name of the game they have a good chance this year. I hope they don't book into heartbreak hotel.

Take it easy my brother charles, always and forever.

Mister, Mister with the sexy eyes sounds like the men at work have been quite busy in the land down under. But, hey, you're my hero baby! Hope u2 don't give love a bad name.

I'll probably have an evening of Fats Dominoes and Chubby Checkers as us girls just wanna have fun. No tv for us for the next 40 days thanks to the world cup.

Barbara hope that you won't be having to say Doctor, Doctor anytime over the week-end and that you will only have to deal with a Manic Monday, must say I don't like Mondays, worst day of the week.  Hope that you'll be able to give Finbar some lessons in love and that he won't end up crying. You're soon going to be saying - he drives me crazy! Hmmm, sixteen candles, summer lovin, those were the days my friend. Hope you didn't wham into something, glad you weren't driving in my car.

Boy George did I have a busy day at work, had to stand and deliver as I like to help out on the Front end (Tills) on our working Saturday, slave to love I guess. Trying to earn a little respect.

I wonder, should I stay or should I go.

Say a prayer for me now.

Girls, Girls, Girls, I hope your weekend was Smooth. Today is another Blue Monday in this Crazy World, where You Say Goodbye And I Say Hello, or maybe just tune you Howzat !! I guess Monday Monday's are like any other day of the week really, just like  Another Brick In The Wall. Not quite as good as Ruby Tuesday though. Friday has got to be the best by far, knowing that you have a good sleep in to look forward to on Sunday, Bloody Sunday.

A warm welcome to the Biccard Ladies.

To those of you on the Island Of Lost Souls that need an update on the Love Connection, get ready for a New Sensation :

It has been said, that when you have hurt the Feelings of the girl you love, by Careless Whispers and the like, you need to reassure her, and let her know that Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, and that she is the only one that can Unchain My Heart. She will mention that You Don't Bring Me Flowers anymore and that she's experiencing a Total Eclipse Of The Heart. As you try to utter Words of understanding, you get that undeniable glare which basically translates to Don't Speak in humble male lingo. For us mere males, this can be quite confronting, No Doubt. Fear not fellow Brothers In Arms, as this is where you tell her that she is your Eternal Flame and always has been since the First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. You must remind her that Nothing Compares To You and that our lovemaking is just Unforgettable. She will hopefully respond with something like I Want You To Want Me or I Want To Know What Love Is. This has surely paved the way for that Wicked Game of passion. As the atmosphere becomes heavy with anticipation, you may wonder if that drought will indeed be broken, as you can feel it In The Air Tonight. Suddenly, she turns into this Wild Thing, saying things like I Want You Here And Now, and that she is a Three Times A Lady kinda girl. Some guys can actually turn A Whiter Shade Of Pale at this prospect, even break out in the Stutter Rap, but not I, as I was Born To Be Wild.
So when you ask her If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body would you hold it against me you have to make sure that she doesn't have her Jeans On, and prepare yourselves for a Magic Carpet Ride. Tell her You Can Leave Your Hat On if that's how you get your Kinks. Of course, things can and often do get out of hand during all this Canned Heat of the moment stuff, so guys, if during that sound of Locomotive Breath and all the Puff The Magic Dragon noises, she happens to mention things like a Candle In The Wind, you must draw the line and tell her that I'll Do Anything For Love, But I Won't Do That ..........

I guess it rains in down in Africa .....

Michele it seems is consumed with all things Spar, and I know She Works Hard For Her Money. You have a Heart Of Gold, that we all know, but It's the Diamonds On The Sole's Of Her Shoes that are the concern, living in the town that she does. A good mother by all accounts, in between making Popcorn for the kids and constantly picking up the Toy Soldiers she has been heard to say that You Will Always Find Me In The Kitchen At Parties.

Barbara, you sound very happy with the purchase of your new car, and I know you are constantly humming " Riding Along In My Automobile, with Finbar beside me at the wheel, with no particular place to go, just helping him find a place to sow .... " Mustang Sally, go get em girl. Just a word of caution though, don't venture too far, as you could land up in a place where the Streets Have No Name. This could be worse than spending Six Months In A Leaky Boat. It is probably worse in Oz, where The Long And Winding Roads are like Endless Love.

On the rugby, great game by Namibia ..... I guess Irish Eyes Are Smiling won't be heard in the pubs for a while .......

Oh well, A Little Less Conversation A Bit More Action, methinks ........

Nicky you sound like a Sensitive kind the kind that can't keep it in.
Once you've tasted love as you so eloquently shared with us- Oh what a night, sounds like you had More than a feeling
The wonder of you, with locomotive breath, you got Good vibrations going just don't stop till you get enough.

Don't let me be misunderstood, I haven't mentioned it before but it happened to me a second time round.  I met Andy my boy lollipop on a trip to Paris, like stranger in Moscow, we got on and exchanged numbers. On returning to the UK he said Do you wanna be startin' something, Don't be shy.  I was Day dreaming but he said It'll be alright. I had to admit after hanging on the telephoneYeah yeah yeah, You make me feel brand new just like a natural woman.
I was determined to stay on the Peace train but he said stand by me, so here I am with mr rock steady, he bought the car but I get to drive it. U2 can have a fast car. No doubt about it,  He's the best thing that ever happened to me.  Finbar is still the pinball wizard, in his own world already got Friday On My Mind.  Road trip- picking up new car 10 am then going to visit the Old bloke and evil stepmom, (Andy's dad and stepmom) they say It's Grim Up North, but I find it refleshing.

Jeepers creepers, Michele has a good thing going busy and always got that feeling of Gotta serve somebody while wondering where do the children play.
Around midnight she says help me get through the night,  she's always got  Something To Talk About.
Before you know it Morning has broken and who know it just might be another day in paradise.

By no Shadows of a doubt I am no substitute for you two, being the Queen of Spar I am under pressure at work and at times feel I'm going slightly mad. I tried to reply Yesterday and earlier today but things got crazy.

But hey, we are family and would I lie to you when I say this forum is simply irresistable, I don't wanna miss a thing so will have to ask you to stand by me if I runaway for a while. Maybe you will even enjoy the silence!

Nicky, all I can say is - man, I feel like a woman! Sounds like your love life is a bed of roses.

Barbara, I can hear you already - hey you, get into my car! Hope your trip on Friday is good and that you don't have to drive all night and don't pick up any travelling soldiers. What colour is the car - black, yellow, deep purple or a whiter shade of pale?

Talking about Friday, the kids will probably be begging Ag Pleez Daddy won't you take us to the drive-in to see the new Harry Potter movie but it is almost summertime and we could all be twisting by the pool in our itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikinis. Saturday is my neighbours birthday so we will be singing Congratulations and Celebrations whilst we be-bop-a-lula! This is after I have been trimming the shaggy plants in my savage garden.

Well, it is time to go out in a blaze of glory so don't you forget about me and don't give up!

Hey Michele, working DAY IN DAY OUT in YOUR TOWN, serving all the GOOD FOLK, with SAND IN MY SHOE, I agree at times the forum is like a SHELTER FROM THE STORM of reality.
Even though WE'VE ONLY JUST BEGUN, we AINT MISBEHAVING, STEP BY STEP, WAGE DAY will come and go and I'm pretty sure you'll have to admit THAT'S THE WAY YOU LIKE IT.
KNOCK EM OUT, girlfriend, and you have my permission to put that GONE FISHIN sign on the door anytime you want.
I'M A HARD HEADED WOMAN not a LONG LEGGED WOMAN, although Andy tells me I'm a NAUGHTY GIRL, I've got to USE WHAT I GOT.
As long as we PLAY TO WIN and don't get STUCK IN THE MIDDLE, as I constantly tell the ABSOLUTE BEGINNER Finbar, even tho it's a HARD ROAD TO TRAVEL and you got MANY RIVERS TO CROSS, THE JOURNEY  is everything, the destination a bonus. (Could someone tell the bokke that.)
It's a BALLROOM BLITZ and I try not to say WHEN I WAS YOUNG too often lest he changes from SWEET SIXTEEN  to SPEECHLESS, MOODY BLUE boy.
Life and love is about getting the SYSTEM TO SURVIVE not just LIP SERVICE.

Oh okay WHILE I'M IN THE MOOD can I just say baobab - it's got to be my most magical tree.

The car is a PALER SHADE OF WHITE, like the GLOW OF LOVE a delicious pearly silver.
ABRACADABRA and shes gone...............

Corrs blimey, I had a Crowded House yesterday man, had the young ones from next door sleeping over. Their mama's and papa's were invited out for tea with the ABB(tiller) man. Jumping Jack Flash what a lot of modern talking and yakkety-yak, for them it was a case of I'll sleep when I'm dead and I eventually had to tell them shut-up in your face this is the Final Countdown or else you will feel a sting on your butts.

This was morning it was a case of morning has broken so get up, stand up this is not Hotel California and you're not getting any breakfast in bed. At least we've got tonight to recover and the girls will be able to dream a little dream again.

My little Ford is Blue Jeans in colour and even though it is forever and for always down at the carwash it is still one of my favourite things!

Hope you all have a truly unforgettable day!

Here I am, just having a Lazy Sunday Afternoon, Reminiscing and deep in Reflection after the rugby packed weekend that has nearly passed. Well done to the Boks. As soon as I saw the Stiff Upper Lip team sing God Save The Queen, I thought to myself " There's something In The Air Tonight .. "
It's "Only Natural", I thought, to assume  it was going to be a Killer, Queen. It was never going to be a Seaside Rendezvous and to Get Down Make Love was  never on the cards. The English Rose never expected Something So Strong or so Bad To The Bone. It was fruitless, Against All Odds. The Boks were like TNT and left in their wake a Whole Lotta Rosie lying all over the pitch. Those that were still walking, looked like Death On Two Legs. I am really hoping that it is not just a Flash in the pan.

No post this weekend from Barbara. In her own words, I'm Riding In My Car...... This is the way of life in Europe, I guess ... Nothing but planes, trains and people Crazy Bout My Automobile. Go get em girl, nothing better than a Brand New Cadillac, ......... Beep Beep, Beep Beep yeah .... The down side is spending copious amounts of time at the Car Wash.

Michele, do you still get Four Seasons In One Day in O/mund? We do here, but with the summer approaching, It gets a little too Sunny, and then I Wish It Would Rain Down. Your life at the moment sounds pretty hectic, and at the drop of a hat you have to Get Busy it seems. Mike will know when you have reached the Cross Road Blues, as he shall hear some Bitchin In The Kitchen. Just to Stir It Up, he may say Thank God I'm A Man, but if he knows what's good for him, he'll be dancing to the tune of I've Got To Get Outta This Place ...., quick smart.

Time To Say Goodbye.

Gave the car a good run up north (SMILE) and visited a Normandy church and the oldest pub in Lincoln, oh and the "in laws" are good and not quite as old as the visited structures.
Can't not mention the Rugby, SHAME FOR YOU lion supporters, BOULEVARD OF BROKEN DREAMS – GIVE ME HOPE JOANNA they cry into there warm ales.
HELLO AFRICA, you are looking good boys, I like the tight jerseys worn nowadays.
ONE WAY OR ANOTHER we all have HIGH HOPES that the winning streak continues.  We don't want the cup to RETURN TO OZ or the other team for that matter.  I'd like to say NOTHINGS GONNA STOP US NOW, but Its early days.
DIAMOND SMILES to Michele, KNOCK EM OUT.
Good to hear from Nicki, not for the FIRST TIME, like a BUFFOLO SOLDIER he comes and goes.
Have yourselves a good Monday, check you all later.
THIS IS HOW I DISAPEAR, MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY.

Hi Richard,

Tx for the info; will email your mom.  I'm really good - off to the UK in 2 weeks to spend time with Genna (daughter) for which I'm counting the sleeps!  Only problem is leaving the son, Rafe to look after the house especially as he takes after his mom so it'll be party time when I'm away.  I'll send catchup news to your mom.

Cheers

I hear ya Sandy,

As you can see, I haven't posted for a while ........ It was brought to my attention by my better half, that I am to make slight "adjustments" and be more "constructive" with my free time ........ ( I think that's how the lecture went....). Anyhow, like a good husband, I have taken this on board, and can now be seen in front of the TV, watching every rugby game possible, and re-run after re-run. LOL.

It's a real  pity that you were not on the forum when we were conversing in all things Fauna / Flora, as your name "Sandy Wood", is just perfect. We would never had cast " Nastertions" upon you, but welcomed you with a "bough".

Barbara?/ Michele?

Mamma Mia Nicky, is that an SOS, are you trying to ring my bell?

You are probably all thinking there ain't no sunshine when she's gone, what's going on, does she have the summertime blues? Sorry if you've been lonely and that you've had to keep holding on but I've been living on the edge and it's been a bit crazy here lately, some of us have to work for our Bread and keep the faith in this loveshack of ours.

But knowing me, knowing you, when all is said and done you will say thank you for the music.

Don't worry, be happy!

Nicky, I had a similar lecture at home with the development of cobwebs and Andy singing KNOWING ME KNOWING YOU.  I have managed to occupy the football mad brit with the egg chasing, as I DONT WANT TO MISS A THING.
THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC everyone, raise your glass to yourselves.  Especially MICHELLE.

didn't take long, just needed to add that the CLOCKS will go back soon, so there definetely aren't any SUNGLASSES, SUNSHINE or POLKA DOT BIKINIS here, and to warn you that the time differance will increase.

Diane looks like WE PUT A SPELL ON YOU - CD's on your lap - you got the NIGHT FEVER and JIVE TALKIN spell, RIGHT OR WRONG enjoy it.

Michelle, YOU TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUT OF MY MOUTH, but whether I'm ADDICTED or not let me just say THANKS FOR THE MUSIC.
Hope the home front settles to less than ANARCHY IN THE UK and you get BACK ON TRACK soon.

Nicky, IT'S A MIRACLE, OH RAMBLIN MAN - are you CURED? OH BOY, the TEMPTATION..............

Sandy, Let me just say IT'S DIFFERANT FOR GIRLS, once we start with REMEMBER THE TIME and NEVER FORGET - do you know what I mean or is it just me and my BRAIN STEW.

A-Ha, lets talk about sex they are saying, down by the riverside, or was it at the wishing well? Wanting to add some Spice, Girls? It must have been raining men in days gone by, but the times they are a changing!

Here comes the week-end I am already thinking and it's going to be busy again, my dad is leaving on a jet plane tomorrow, off to the wonderful, wonderful world of Cape Town to see the Doctor, Doctor. My mom can't complain about being only the lonely though as the girls will be sleeping over to be able to watch High School Musical 2 on Friday whilst Mike watches the rugby - hopefully he will be singing We are the Champions afterwards.

On Saturday Cameron will be doing her modern dancing mock exam, hopefully it won't be a case of I can't dance! and she won't end up doing the Mambo no. 5. Straight afterwards her grade is holding a debutante fancy dress show - Cameron is going as a Surfer chick and will be shaking her ass to the Beach Boys Let's go Surfing now! Most of the other girls will be fairies and ballerinas so I thought lets get this party started!

Well, my righteous brother and twisted sister it is just another day and I still haven't found what I'm looking for!

Take it easy!

Sandy, please don't mention the word " thorn", as It makes me break out in a Cold Sweat, due to the new Voodoo Dolls that Gabi has of me. You may think I'm Paranoid, but lengthy spells on the PC will cause me untold pain with Needles And Pins ....... No Doubt.

Hello Michele, you Third World Child you .... Yes, you may not be from My Generation, but don't mention Walk The Dinosaur or Time Warp etc, as you may be asked to cut it out ....... Scissor Sister.HEHE.

Barbara, good to see you through that Purple Haze and Smoke On The Water (Waterloo) and still singing that Same Old Song. The security is pretty good these days, and the bomb squad are even taught How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. U2 could learn if you so wished.

Sounds like Debby and Diana are somewhat Hooked On A Feeling now.

Diane WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN, we people in our GOLDEN YEARS cannot HELP ourselves, we'll all be FOREVER YOUNG but kids don't understand.

Oh yea, Michelle heres hoping there is no DESPAIR IN THE DEPARTURE LOUNGE when the old man sets off on his JOURNEY to what we hope is a visit to DOCTER FEELGOOD.

Sandy there are things I'LL NEVER SAY cos I'M NOBODY'S FOOL.

The bokke may have been SANDBLASTED but they weren't SET FREE, and I hope they don't get STUCK IN THE MIDDLE.

ARE YOU STILL IN THE MOOD, playmates or are we CREEPING UP THE BACKSTAIRS.

Diane, HELLO OLD FRIEND, (no offense to the word old meant), AT LAST there is someone out there.

Life marches on, DAYDREAMING between the EIGHT DAYS A WEEK mentality of living in the fast lane, everybody
DON'T COME ROUND HERE ANYMORE, don't take it personally, as long as our messages aren't RETURNed TO SENDER
we'll have some response I guess, eventually.

NO DOUBT ABOUT IT, the MADNESS that is the rugby world cup, will give many people portions of time back after this weeks ANOTHER SATURDAY NIGHT, good luck to the bokke, they make MY HEART SING.

JOY TO THE WORLD it's Friday at last! All Mike can DREAM about is the VILLAGE PEOPLE off to see the  BLOEMTOWN RATS! At least he's not going to end up DRIVING IN MY CAR and has got plenty of BAD COMPANY for the trip.

Talking about bad, sounds like Paula's been getting into some BAD MEDICINE, thought she might have turned into an ENGLISH ROSE by now! DON'T GET ME WRONG - we are MISSING YOU Paula! Even though Spar is NOT GOOD ENOUGH ANYMORE! Has Noel stopped WEEPING since my dad beat him on Saturday?

Yes well you know, SHE WORKS HARD FOR HER MONEY and at the same time has to keep THIS OLE HOUSE STAYING ALIVE and thats why I've been SO FAR AWAY!

At least with no ELECTRICITY on SUNDAY, BLOODY SUNDAY, I am going to TAKE IT EASY and, WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS, go LOOKING FOR THE SUMMER!

Oh my golly gumdrops what a night, of Hi tension hi tension, in the household with divided loyalty, me wearing my green and gold proudly all day, and the white shirt appearing pre game.
There I was with Finbar Jumping jive and dancing in the street (what did the neighbours think) to sound of African drums as the bokke won the battle to victory last night, victory and winning.
The winner takes it all, Up where we belong as the champions in  the name of the game, rugby, (just in case you've been comatosed).
Even in temps down to 3 degrees I managed to get the brit, (bless him, I do love him really) to light my fire and cook my boerewors, but it's been  a blackdog day with blank expressions, as the Englishman realised you can't hold us down.
I've got this ringing in my ears due to the quietness of the streets today, as the "big country" turned their attention to Hamilton to make them proud.
Oh dear, well there's always and forever a next year, hey.
Well done boys, you did us proud.
Unifing a country, rainbow nation and reminding my son of his nationality to the extent that he went out into city in a green and gold shirt today with a SA flag around his neck, thank you..

No Georg - I've never met Nicky in person before - only on this site, my dad remembers him though.

You have to remember that I am younger than all of you! I was only born in 76!
