Gee Sigmund, you're even worse than me when it comes to remembering names ... Ok, the only ones I had were the 2 Ruf brothers and that's an easy one as we were neighbours ...

Hi Sigmund - yes I posted the picture as well under "Beauvallon today" somewhere else on the forum.  All I can add is Kobus' brother was Ben Wiese. In second row to my left is Johannes Esterhuizen (Henda's brother), John Smith.

@ Bertie. Sorry didn't know that you've posted the pic allready.... but just for interest sake.... how the hell do you make a connection between "Beauvellon today" and a choir pic?

@ Sigmund -  allgood. No problem, here's the connection - Georg Snr posted a video and photographs of the Ruf kids fishing at Beauvallon.  The only picture I could find with the boys, was the choir photo, so I posted it.  I know, I know, not really very bright, but hey, I was still figuring out how this topic thing works on the forum!   hammer
I think if we throw our names together, we might have about everybody! cheers

Wow! This brings back such memories.  There I am - third from right (Erika Rauh) - look at the hair?!  Far right is Amelia Maritz, my best friend and Uzane Botes fifth from right.  In the front row third from right is Bernard Wiese.  I recognize quite a few other faces, but can unfortunately not put names to them.

I'm amazed that I've only now found out about this site.  I've been reading through some of the posts - its fantastic.  I'm in the back row - 2nd from the left and if Im not mistaken its Lynette Bezuidenhout to my left.

Just looked through that picture again.

Wonder how each of the girls and boys look today.

Imagine, you copy the picture and replace your head as it is today, that would be fun LOL But all pretty kids now over 40 wow......

Hi Delia!  Welcome!  You'll enjoy the site, no doubt. Can you tell me where John (Smith) is nowadays?

@ Mike - Careful now, I don't think any of the girls on the choir photo has reached 50 yet! You know you'll be in BIG trouble if you make the ladies older prematurely!  :nono1:

Hey Mike, when you're a kid, anyone over 20 is old ... but when you hit 40, then old is anything over 75 ... bet Mr. Nieuwoud was only in his fifties back then. What a great man he was!
