Subject: Cricket Launch 6 September 2008
Gentlemen and Ladies,
The dormancy of our cricket club has come to an end. The club with probably the richest history and tradition will hold a launch for the new season on 6 September 2008. An AGM for the election of members to take up this sensitive task will also be held on the evening of 6 September 2008. We would like to urge you to make an appointment with us on this day to play cricket and also help with your valuable input into re-establishing a proud disciplined cricket and siftball fraternity in Oranjemund.
Please check the name lists below of each team as they were randomly drawn up for the start and please contact the captain of your team to finalise arrangements concerning the day.
A few formalities for your notice:
- These teams will play each other in 10-over matches on 6 September 2008 (Programme below)
- Braaipacks with salad and garlic bread and a cooldrink are available at N$ 50 pp. (Order with Tony at this email address)
- Hotdogs will be sold throughout the day and cash bar will be open for adults. Children are welcome and a separate service area for cooldrinks will be available for them.
- A big screen will also be available for the very impressive Western Province/Cheetahs match (14:00 Nam) as well as the easy winning Sharks against the Blue Calfs (16:00 Nam)
- Please contact the persons who are listed right in each team as I have sent mails to those on the left in each team. Those on the right are also to send me a mail so that I may get their mail details.
- Team list will be up at the club frontdoor and the club will be open every day from Monday, 1 September 2008 as from 16:45 till 18:30 for practice. All players are requested to return kit neatly. The storage bins in the home changeroom will renovated as soon as funds are sufficient. The visitors changeroom is currently a temporary storage place.
