So our neighbours wife had a big afternoon tea and snacks for her birthday...... I arrived 34 minutes after Michele.... entered the lounge 14 people sitting in a huddke,eating snacks,,,, baby being breastfeed........... I panicked..... where's your hubby...wished her happy birthday.......went..out to the indoor outdoor braai....Phew! 6 guys there..Beers, brandy and Whisky in there hands...that was close.... almost caught up in a mad hatters tea party.... the fire got lit...we talked shit..... it ,made a rhyme,,,,,,, the booze flowed....the chatter was good...we ran outta stock.... i went home , neighbour.... refilled.... the fire burned brighter.... the chatter louder.... I suddenly realized.... did a count outta the 6 that were there.,,,,,, 5 of us.... were sons of old Oranjemunders,,,,,, a quick tally...... 246 years of oranjemund between us........... Andre Fourie,,,,, CHris Smit.....Eugen Marais.... Mike ALexander..... Anton Burden....... History... together,,.,,, names mentioned...remember this.,,,, remember that,,,,, who did what...when.....
