Hello all.The Scottish Oranjemund Squad had a little get together last night in a pub in Glasgow. Billy Mckay,Tommy Lawrie,Davie Barr,Dougie Allison and Colin Benton were all standing at the bar when this lady came over to dougie and said"are you Dougie the switch"It turned out to be Cathy and Andy Scott old Oranjemunders from many Moons ago.We all had a great night talking about the old times.Sore head this morning.
Colin....No pics.....? ...and of course Jock wants to know what the name of the pub was........
The counting house a converted old bank right on George Square.
Hello Colin, just taking a chance here! Would you please be so kind as to keep an eye out for Colin Patterson who left O'mund in 1975, and after moving around a bit I believe he settled in Scotland! I'm sure there are plenty of Patterson's in Scotland, but this one supports Heart of Midlothian! If that's not pathetic enough, his brother John supports Queen of the South. They were always troubled children.........
Still, I would love to make contact with him again.
Regards, Ricky Barron.
Five Jocks in a bar! Must have been one hell of a fight to buy the first round!
Is that you Welshman?
You're dead right1 All the way from sunny Devon! hope you keeping well, will drop you a line.
martin?
Hi Mike, Yes its me!
My dad sends his regards.. starting telling stories about you, about a joke about Jocks and any ship in any harbour in the world......
That brings back memories, your dad reckoned that you could shout down the hold of any ship in any harbour in the world and a jock accent would answer you! I always said that the voice would say:" How do mend this bloody engine"!
Give Jock my regardsand ask him if he still remembers the words to "Bonny Dundee" and Whisky in the Jar"
Yes Martin but can you still remember who sang " theirs no lights on the christmas tree mama cause their burning big Loius tonight" I had you and McKay stumped for years with that one!
Jock will be with me in an hour, will show him the post
The Sensational Alex Harvey Band , had this discussion with McKay when he came to Devon. Remember Lola?
Marin, Jock is here with me know,,,,,rekons the Joke came for Frankie Quirk!
That is correct, the first time it happened his response was to push his specs up his nose and walk away muttering about the Welsh, sheep and wellingtons. Hell of a boy was Frankie. Hope Jock is keeping well
Hi Colin,
