.(Not sure...Tuys is almost 50 and these are his dads slide...so I reckon the 60's...he will comment once I have put all his scans onto digital format for him...
This could be in 1971, during the 10 year Republic celebration, I remember it was a big hooha.....
I couldnt believe when I opened the first pic (the 'Volkspelers'), there was my dad! Louwtjie Theron, the one with his hands in his pockets in front. How awesome! I phoned him, told him to take a look, was very surprised as well. He gave the following info:
They were members of the Kokkewiet Volkspele Laer. Tall guy at the back was Ken Harris, in front of him Frans Schneider and his wife Huibrecht.
Celebration unknown, too long ago!! Andre could be right...
