Title: Jocelyn (Jossie) Wormser
Post by: Ricky Barron (RIP) on October 13, 2008, 08:01:57 AM
On behalf of my sister, Lesley Barron, who left O'mund in '72. Would anyone know the whereabouts of Jossie Wormser whom she last saw in the late seventies? They attended Rhenish and matriculated in about '77/'78. Les owns an hotel in the Seychelles so if anybody is looking for a discounted holiday, give her a call! She has promised to register on this site, but claims to have no time, what with all the sun-tanning and scuba diving, I really feel for her.......

Interesting observation Michael........Actually she was baby of the year in O'mund in 1961 (my mom still has the Oranjemund newsletter with Les as the cover girl at 11 months old), and she followed that with being crowned miss DIAMOND CITY or miss Kimberley in 1980 or thereabouts. At the moment her hotel has the boring name of "Mango Lodge" and is on the island of Mahe.......But I'll pass on your recommendations for a change of name!

Michael! Mayhap dreams do come true! I've just had a thought..........Although they do live in the most obscenely idyllic surroundings, the would kill to have a SPAR on the island! Their lives are a non-stop series of fish braais and fruit, but very little in the line of red meat and other fresh produce, or biltong and You magazines, or brotchens and cold meats, or..........I guess I'll have to get the two of you together to work something out!

There is a Spar Distribution Centre in Pinetown(durban)...How often does the ship sail from Durbs to the Seychelles? We could open up the first Spar Store on the Seychelles and stock it from Durban..... using the bulk of the stock by ship and the finer stuff in by plane.....  Paradise SPAR....any of you wealthy first world people out there interested to invest in this venture.... ?

PARADISE SPAR

It's got a ring to it.......

You'll probably have to rethink, there is already a Paradise Sun on the main island, so you might have a "naming rights" problem! What about "Giant Tortoise Spar"?
