Those Bruce's are they not RObert's parents?  He is in here somewhere.....

The only names I know there are the Hockneys, Les Head (from the Lodge), Mrs Grigg, and then Edgar Selby...

I have just seen this picture.

I can only recognise one Bruce in the photo who is my dad's brother, Philip. He is stood in the back row middle up from the left snare drum. Is that a young Mr Mead the baker seated to the immediate right of the second snare on the right?

Next to the recreation club , an area known as Lambs park was openend, a high wall around the area was built with boulders comming from the Gemsbok area . during the early years lambs park was the only eating place in Oranjemund .It was open every Sunday . Sometimes the Silver band played to entertain patrons. The place was called Lambs park after a creche . Tables were placed out , for families and their  "lambs " to sit down at and enjoy the company , food and drink. The wall kept the lambs inside and safe . attached is  a very bad Photo of another version of the Silver band - date unknown
perhaps somebody can add a recent pic of Lambspark ???
