So as most of you know, I was/am a big league beer drinker and a large portion of my waistline is attributed to this hobby........ After my op, I decided to stop with the consumption of the magic brew and have been having a few tots of whisky and soda.... the big question.... is this less fattening for me, as opposed to the beer?

The scotch is supposedly .. dont forget the brew of beer contains yeast and carbohydrate .. however dont forget the moderation part .. and of course Michael who was recently wired to the ceiling the other night it does not work with coffee late at night ... ha ha
I believe in counting calories to loose weight that way you choosing what to eat and not being told you can't have this or that. At the end of the day you end up eating correctly as all the good foods have the lower calories and they come from all the food groups. I have a majic book The South African guide to calories,it will for eg; give you the total calories per 100grams for a lamb stew or a beef stew ect. as they differ. If I wanted to go out and party I would work out how many calories cane and tab would be decide ok I'm having 6 @ 63 calories each and deduct this from my 1500 for the day I would then choose foods low in calories for that day. BEER a BIG NO NO VERY HIGH in calories all your white spirits 63cal per tot if mixed with Diet coke or water. Whiskey being the heathiest if you can call it that.
I have lost weight on more than one occassion like this and kept it off for years as you end up eating correctly. Just the past 2yrs I've put on again as I've become to comfortable. Mindset not right.
Very important I believe is to be in the right frame of mind to diet.
Hey Aunty Diana..... Just as having an appendix removed, giving birth to a child, is not considered a legitimate form of claiming weightloss......................... 23_146_26 :nono1: image19
On a serious note, what is the calories for a bottle of beer in comparison to a glass of whisky?
are-you-there
Like I said Whiskey and WATER 63 cal
Castle 340ml 134 cal
Castle lite 95 cal
Just the coffee and the whiskey in Irish coffee 116cal plus the cream and the sugar.
The beer is just for castle as believe it or not the calorie content differs from brand to brand....
So bugger the cream and Coffeeeeeeee....... if I stick to whisky and Shoda(yes! Shhhhhhoda!) Then it's less fattening than Beer....... I liked coffee and cream in my beer! 3d smiles(281) beermug20

Hi Mike.
Great to see you haven't lost your humor. But don't you think you should send this topic to "Jokes" or "Games and riddles"?
Excuse me Boy Georg this is a serious matter. cowgirl
Yes! I agree with Diana, if she has to use rope, then what will she bee using for the material parts of this bikini? Canvas?

Hello1 there's material bits?????
Well... that would depend what Size Rope you were using, in your case, it would be those ropes that they use down at the docks, to moor a ship... so you are right saying..."There's Material!"
