Title: From Kevin Pilling!
Post by: Michael Alexander on January 09, 2009, 04:00:22 AM
Hi Mike – My name is Kevin Pilling my mother & father were called Harry & Edith & my sister was called Jane.

I am in the forum. I have sent you some very old photo's of our stay in Oranjemund.

We were there from 1954 to 1958 . Could you put them on your web site. I have had one or two messages from people saying they remember me and my family, so I think a few people would be quite interested in seeing the photo's.

All the best for 2009

Kev

Hi Kevin
I think I recognise some people here.  Top right are Mr and Mrs Gerrard.  Sons were Keith and "PiP" Phillip. Daughter Pam married Bob Greenshields.  Bottom - I think - are Tommy and Margerate Hope.  Daughter was Anita.  Cant remember the boys names.  Wonder why.  Next is pappa bear Don Creedy and next to him is Mrs Weait - son was John. must be in the 1950's.  We were there from 1954. Thanks for the picture!

That's my father on the left ( Harry Pilling) I don't know who the other two men are. 1955ish.

Notice the school in the background.

Cheers

Kev

The man in the middle is Vin Kilbride and on the right I would hazzard a guess as Tommy hope.  The vehicle is in the area where the Hopes lived.

Note the school clocktower on the right at the back, no offices between it and 11th avenue....
