Title: The Amazing Alexanders
Post by: Bertie Horak on January 21, 2009, 10:47:08 AM
Just one post before next patient. (On dial-up speed again today).  Will chat again tonight.

Just now I had a delivery - the most amazing live flower arrangement, complete with real bark and moss growing around it - to wish me luck with my new practice opening today!

And from who?  Mike, Michele, Shannon and Cameron.   Wow,wow, wow!  I almost cried, it is really so beautiful, the flowers, the thought, the amazing people you guys are.... all the way from Oranjemund.  3d smiles(281)

Thank you, thank you,  I will get online again tonight to tell how it went.  Here's pictures of my surprise.

secret(1)  The Oranjemunders are simply the best!

Thank you all for the wishes (spelled it right this time), you are really amazing, and the cherry on the cake.  I had the most wonderful day in a veeeery long time.  Everything went extremely smooth and I had great and interesting patients.
All of them left here very satisfied, the one lady (71 years) actually burst into tears and gave me a nice hug just before she left because she felt so good about the way I handled her after traveling from one doctor to the next over the last 2 years without any hope.  I know she's going to get better -the other doctors treated her symptoms only, not the cause, and actually made her worse.
Today I had interesting cases, including sinusitis, reflux/heartburn, sleep disorders, anxiety attacks, muscular pains, facial neuralgia, hepatitis and loss of nails.  All treatable. Some more difficult to treat the natural way than others, but I am positive.

Once again thank you all, you made today special!  3d smiles(297)

@ John - sorry, I didn't answer your question - No, I didn't move.  I practice Phytotherapy from a separate room in the same house as my dental practice.  I'm just dividing the week into the two modalities.  As Phytotherapy gets more popular, I'll start to phase out the dentistry.
My goal is to get a smallholding eventually where I can grow and supply organic medicinal herbs.  Much less stress than dentistry!

Thanx everybody.  Today it's back to dentistry again, tomorrow my day is split in two again and I'll be doing both.  Hectic, but nice!

With so many people wishing me luck it can only be a success!  Thanks once again.

At this stage it looks quite good.  I have many inquiries, and next Wednesday (the next full day of Phytotherapy) is almost fully booked already.  If it carries on like this, I'll be able to phase out dentistry quicker than I think (then again I have a lot of dentistry patients who said they will not allow me to leave dentistry, they don't want to go somewhere else!).  At the moment it's not financially able to carry me, and I have a special price until end February - way less than medical aid tariffs just to introduce Phytotherapy to the people.  What I've seen so far is that most people doesn't know how we work.  They were quite surprised when I did simple tests during consultation, like taking blood pressure, testing their glucose, eye exams, etc.  They thought their would be herbs on a shelf which you just ask for and buy.
Will take time, but through word-of-mouth it'll spread, hopefully!

Hey Bertie, thank you for the Birthday wishes and for the pm. I wish you all the blessings and chutzpah for your new practice. may it grow from strength to strength. Any cures for the dreaded shake, rattle and rolls? Will do any thing to get off the horrible meds with the side effects. Will send you a pm and make an appointment as coming down to the mother city soon to visit my youngest. Once again all the best and wacky backy works wonders for blood pressure, nausa and epilepsy mike so don't knock it!
