"5 robbers killed in shootout
21/01/2009 22:46 - (SA)
Johannesburg - KwaZulu-Natal police shot dead five suspected robbers and arrested four others in Camperdown on Wednesday.
Superintendent Henry Budhram said police received a tip-off about nine armed men on a minibus taxi on their way to Pietermaritzburg, allegedly to commit a robbery.
Police followed the vehicle and stopped it before the Lion Park turn-off on the N3.
"The suspects alighted and fired shots at the police who returned fire. Five robbers were killed and four were arrested," said Budhram. "
They should have shot them all.......
Heard about it on the midnight news report on radio.
Goed so ! For once a little victory !
Do you know how many people would be left on earth if all robbers were shtß These guys are mostly small fishes. What about the guys in the high places? What would we do to them? They're making millions and billions with "legal" crookery?????

Sadly so where have we ended up ?? .. we have joy when a bunch of brazen thieves are shot ... ??
Sadly so its a direct result of breakdown of law and order in this country making the thieves so brazen and us so pissed off ..
So therefore when we read about it we feel satisfied .... some form of justice has occured ,, maybe it will be a warning ??
Not that saying it in this way is going to make me not feel the same next time I read about another incident like this .. but yes my inner awarenes tells me that by expressing this satisfaction I am no better than them .??
Also desensitised ??
Everybody is upset about the pirates in the Redsea. Would anybody dare to be upset about the pirate Sir Francis Drake? No! Why? Because Britain wanted a hero to demonstrate their power by believing he had conquered the Armada.
And even that isn't true. The Armada was actualy sunk in a storm.
That's one of the reasons I believe in liberalism...
@ Jnr .. why the label liberal ?? what exactly does liberalism mean ? I would prefer to say using my conscience in all thoughts and actions .. circumstances differ for each happening , so our reaction emotionaly / mentally and yes in our physical reactions would differ .. its flexible enough and if one just keeps in mind to consider the consequences of our reactions ie; try to do no harm or think no harm , but yes if circumstances require it then .. ahh its so difficult but yes I prefer a flexible approach its a reasonable gaurantee against being walked over or doing major harm .. both of which have consequences ...
A few years ago justs after my aunt's murder, i said to my daughter who was 10 at the time "I wish everybody with any criminal intentions specially murderers, rapists & child abusers would just disappear off the face of this earth and leave the rest of us to live in peace". Her response - "we'd probably be very surprised at who leaves and who stays".........quite insightful for a 10 year old and so true.
Clever girl your daughter.
yes very true. Where exactly do you 'draw the line', and then again innocent people have been jailed and executed in years gone by. Very difficult to determine what to do.
