Wow, great memories Carl. For me in particular Gerhard and Connie Van Wyk. Their son Ian was my best mate in OPS, we were same standard. They lived in E2/11. Have had contact with their daughter Theresa recently. Thanx Carl, I had no pictures of them and this really brings back memories of the faces I havn't seen for about 30 years! woo_hoo
Oh wow, I recognised the faces of the Holl kids. One might not remember names or surnames but its amazing when you see old pics that that the penny drops of who is who...
After looking at pic 3 now I remember who you are. Didn't know you personally but knew of you probably from my post office days. Did you not collect your post at the counter?
That would be George Holl, Ian, Steven and I forget the sisters name.... cuqui
Yes Dianne..... :emot112_2: You Have a excellent memory! I would come from Affen and fetch my post at the counter. Only after I got married did I get a Post Box. The Holl girl is Charmaine. I lost contact with them. Last I heard Ian was a Metallurgist for De Beers somewhere and George was Manager at Auchas? idontknow
George & Elise retired to Henties last I heard Carl
...Ian is an engineer up at the Debeers Mine in Canada... he is on SKype....
Thanks! I'll try raise Ian later on Skype......does anyone know how I can get in contact with George and Elize?
I've seen George & Elise a few time in Swakop, will make a point next time i see them and tell them about our site....
Thanks Susan......
