Post by: SandyB on March 29, 2009, 08:23:48 PM
WE IN SOUTH AFRICA  SIT ON THE EVE OF AN IMPORTANT  ELECTION , THE RESULTS  WILL HAVE BEARING  ON   THE SUBCONTINENTS FUTURE ... I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THE MEDIA AND IT APPEARS THE CHARGES AGAINST JACOB ZUMA  ARE  NOW FRAUGHT WITH IRREGULARITIES WHICH IN TURN  ARE TECHNICALITIES  WHICH COULD WELL RESULT  IN ALL CHARGES BEING DROPPED ...  NOW THE NPA  MAY BE TOOTHLESS ,  BUT I HAD MY MOMS VOICE ECHOING IN MY HEAD ALL OF TODAY  SAYING  THINK BACK TO AL CAPONE .. WELL  CRAZYAS IT MAY SEEM I TOOK COGNISCANCE ..   EVEN IF THE NPA  DROPS CHARGES  JACOB ZUMA IS  STILL LIABLE FOR TAX EVASION ... AND THE  REVENUE SERVICES  CAN IF THEY HAVE THE WILL PURSUE  HIM IN THIS REGARD .. WE ALL KNOW THAT ANYONE GUILTY OF TAX EVASION  IS NOT  FIT  TO HOLD PUBLIC OFFICE ... MAYBE I'M THINKING  TOO SIMPLISTICALLY  .. BUT   YES  I BELIEVE ITS A VALID POINT IN  THE BELOW LETTER I AM SENDING TO  AS MANY NEWSPAPERS AS POSSIBLE ...   NOW   FELLOW ORANJEMUNDERS  ACROSS THE  WORLD ..  TAKE NOTE ...   READ IT  SEND IT ON .. SEND IT TO YOUR  FRIENDS , ENCOURAGE THEM TO DO THE SAME .. ... SEND TO YOUR LOCAL NEWSPAPERS ... ANYONE  ....  ANYONE   WE  NEED A  WAVE OF JUSTICE HERE ..  IF IT FAILS .. WELL AT LEAST WE TRIED  HEY ?? READ ... AND YES  COMMENT ... I SPEAK MY TRUTH ...

TO                :       All  interested  and concerned  Citizens
SUBJECT   :       Jacob Zuma – Tax evasion charges
DATE         :       29/3/2009

Dear  Concerned  Citizens of South Africa ,
I will draw your attention to the latest developments in the  charges  against  Jacob Zuma . It appears  according  to the media that the battery of charges   might well be dropped   due to  irregularities which in turn  become technicalities  which  could  invalidate  all charges .
I will now draw  a comparison  to Jacob  Zuma  and  Al Capone ...
The  American  law enforcement authorities had extreme  frustration in their pursuit  of  Mr Capone,   trying to get  charges  to stick  and  see due justice  take its course . This was  largely   due to the fact  that Al Capone  had  a  virtual army of  slick lawyers .
We see the same here  in that  Jacob  Zuma also has a small army of  slick lawyers regrettably paid  for  by our hard earned tax rands  applying  every delaying tactic and using every technicality  to  try   prevent him from having  the day in court  that he publicly stated  he wanted .
Al Capone  was eventually when all else  failed , successfully  charged with tax evasion and  due  justice took its course .
Now  apart  from the  now fragile  looking  charges  against Jacob Zuma  of  corruption , fraud,   etc  seeming on the point  of collapse , there  is  TAX  EVASION ,  a  result of his not declaring  " income "  from his financial  relationship with Schabir Shaik and  other  unknown parties .
In any country  tax evasion  is a serious crime , fact is  that  every ordinary citizen above a certain income bracket   has  to submit a tax return and  truthfully declare all forms of income . Failure to do so  will result  in  the Revenue Services legally pursuing  one to the point of doing a  full audit  in order to get the monies due to them . An audit  is normally  done if  the Revenue Services  have  suspicion or are alerted to  the fact that someone may  well be guilty of  tax evasion . Failure  to pay any taxes they  find unpaid  which are subject  to stiff fines  will normally result  in legal action to the point of  seizing assets .

Now  all  the mention  in the media of one of the charges  being  TAX  EVASION  should  surely  have   raised  enough  suspicion for  the  Revenue Services  to do a full audit of Jacob Zuma's  financial affairs ?

This  brings to me  the burning questions  that  Mr Trevor Manuel  as  head of  finances and the  Revenue  Services   has to answer .

1.   Has  Jacob Zuma  been subject  to a full audit  of  his financial affairs ?
2.   Has it been found that he indeed owes  unpaid taxes to the Revenue Services ?
3.   Has he  if so  paid back with the resultant  stiff  fines  all monies  owed to  the revenue services ?
4.   If  he has not  yet paid back  monies  deemed owed to the revenue services , been subject to legal action ?
5.   One has to declare on ones  tax return form all perks  and free  services  received , has Jacob Zuma  declared on his tax return the free  legal  services now running into millions of rands  he has been getting  compliments of the taxpayer ?
6.   If the  answer to  question  4  is a no then  he is guilty of tax evasion and  should accordingly be  charged  by the revenue services .
7.   On a smaller  scale  what is the state of  affairs with Jacob Zuma's  municipal  and utility bills ? or is a blind eye being turned  here possibly as well  ? all  concerns for  full investigation and disclosure ..

These are questions  that might in  all  likelyhood never  be answered openly and honestly  as currently there appears to be two sets of   laws in this country , one set  for the ordinary citizen and another   set of laws applied  to the  ANC party  leadership and faithful .
So yes  dear  concerned  citizens  we should all add our  voice to the questions I have  raised as any  citizen who is found guilty of tax evasion   is  deemed not  fit to hold  any position of public office.

Yours in  hope  for  a fair , just  and  bright future  in South Africa  ,

                                    Sandy   Buchanan .

Good news  my letter after second   all publication drop  appeared in the argus today .. slightly  edited but the full gist there ... also the DA  office came back  and  said they will pass it on to Ms Zille  for  reading ...  my next line of attack is the  travelgate  crooks that have been let off the hook by parliament  buying up all the debt  using our tax money ..  it appears that only the ANC members will benefit fromthis  buyout .. the others  party members are on their own.. so these  bloated seat warmers  get to   survive Uugh!!   but then  enough noise .. Ill gotten gains  not  declared to  SARs .. you vcan bet your bottom dollar  they were not ...  tonight  apart from doing my month end report will track any  communication  line  to  Mr  manuel and his new wife and ;ester them telling them that its in the papers  ,,and we  are owed the truth ...    Grrrrr  snuffel  snuffel  cuqui   piss on their parade   and  next    policedog-small   well   here come  Zack .. shadow and their  handlers ....

Hi Sandy,

Well done. Your letter was the most prominent on the letter page. You would have done the country a huge service if your proposal to investigate the possible tax evasion by Zuma proves to be valid. Mom would be soooooo proud of you. I'll do my bit on my side.

Stay well.

Ed.

Unfortunately my  letter containing  the viewpoint  of tax fraud  did not make it  to the Sunday times ... instead I am confronted with a pic on the front  page of JZ  dressed in " virginal white "   hands clasped in  fake prayer  pose . doing the religion thing again ..  puke puke ..  and   as expected to all extents he off the hook .. disapointed  .. stressed ...  suicidal ??  / no ...  BP  up ?? no .. but yes if  I knew  I had  6 months or so to live with a terminal disease ...  I would send an appealing letter  to  JZ telling him  how much i "admired'  him   telling him that my dying wish was to have  tea  with him and  sing praise  on his showerhead ..   a few days before  find a corrupt doctor ( plenty in this country )  to implant a huge  bomb  in me   , during the gentle tea session ( should i wear a kanga ? )   I will request as a dying wish a huge hug from   him ,  hold him close ,, detonate  us both  to  smithereens ..   and leave a  timed suicide note   all over the web stating why  I did what i did ...    catmusic   Joking  but yes  played out this   to  friends ..    we  had a good laugh ..  JZ  be careful of  dterminal fiolk wishing to meet you in person for  tea    cat3

Sandy, you seem to have covered all bases but if youhave not already done so, you can send it to the following two addresses for Hellen Ziller's attention. (addresses will be sent to you on E-MAil)
I love the analogy and have passed you letter on to a number of people.

A lot of people (experts) are saying that the ANC are gonna lose a large slice of their majority....... I beg to differ..... The masses will still vote en masse for them, they do not understand the power of their vote...... I assure after the election these so called experts will be pondering how they got it wrong..... this is africa....Stats and polls mean nothing...... you vote for who you are told to vote for.....

I stand to be corrected but believe that the the majority of the ANC losses are in the age group of 50 and above. ( Sounds like the wise old men are beleiving what they are seeing and its the younger groups that believe the drivel being dished up.

Hows' this for a part of Political Manifesto.  ( No its not the ANC but the "Peace & Justice Congress" PJC)

" 5.1    A SINGLE NEW MONETARY CURRENCY FOR AFRICA.

To create a new monetary currency for Africa and the ENTIRE WORLD to prevent Wealthy Nations, from exploiting Poorer Nations by devaluing their currencies and acquiring their assets nad National Resources far below its true value."

Thanks Clive  got the info ,,, I had  however directed it  to the mayor  and leader of DA  already .. the reply below ...  so  it was directed to the  Mayor and leader  ...

Dear Mr Alexander,

Thank you for your email of 31st March, which was forwarded to us by the Mayor's Office.

You are right about Jacob Zuma; the DA has been saying these things for a long time and a recent Markinor poll showed that even many ANC members believe their leader is guilty of corruption. Zuma needs his day in court but it looks like he will succeed in not getting it.

With regard to the SARS case, SARS is refusing to say anything about it, which leads one to assume that they have written off their losses.

You can read a speech which Ms Zille made on the 30th March (entitled "No, Mr Zuma, I will not back off") here: http://www.da.org.za/newsroom.htm?action=view-news-item&id=6558.

Thank you for your efforts to contact the press and raise awareness of the truth. While your efforts may seem futile, word of mouth is the most important weapon we have in this election, and we must know that the ANC's arrogance will be it's own undoing in the end.

The more it regards public opinion with contempt, the more the public, even its own voters, will resent it. So we just need to keep on exposing this corruption, forcing them to talk about it and defend themselves. Eventually, not this election and maybe not next election, but some day, they will feel the consequences at the polls.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

With best wishes,

Eva Pappenheim

Sandy thanks for sharing that,

I am extremely involved in our local neighbourhood watch and have garnered a number of good contacts, which we use when necessary.

Last weekend we had a Club / lounge in Voorterkker Street,  erect a marquee tent in a carpark, there was permission granted ( we had the Bellville police Capt check the documentation and the local  DA  representative came out to check it out,  as it was being hosted in what amounts to a residential neighbourhood, without obtaining local residents permission) anyway it is being dealt with at council level.
We are awaiting feedback.
Like we've said, if we dont stand up and object strongly right in their faces we are going to be walked all over.

TO                :       All  interested  and concerned  Citizens
SUBJECT   :       The ANC influenced SARS  owes the  public  explanation
DATE         :       5/4/2009

Dear  Concerned  Citizens of South Africa ,
The  Revenue Service is supposed to be  a
non partisan entity , its task being  to collect  taxes  and allocate accordingly  fairly and judiciously   for the benefit of South Africa  and its citizens .
They are part of the public service ,  therefore public  servants  and  therefore answerable  to the public .
I have brought  up in previous correspondence  the fact that  I believe that they should have a strong case based on  the goings on of Jacob  Zuma of  tax evasion . To all extents there appears to have been no such investigation  or  action  when  questioned before  by various opposition  political parties.
If one looks at  one example  of  their  history  of favouring friends of the ANC  when  faced with pursuit  by the taxman , we can take the example of the late Brett Kebble .  It was  well reported that  he was  at one point being pursued by the taxman for non payment / evasion of taxes .  His  widely reported  generosity from  buckets of  shareholders  money   to members of the ANCYL and other  ANC members  seemed to  make  this  pursuit grind to a halt , which then to me proves  that   Revenue Services  have  in the past   favoured and  more than likely  in the present  favour  members of ANC elite  and  friends of the ANC as pressure to stop pursuit could indeed be bought   .The only  conclusion to be  drawn  then  is that they are currently  partisan to their own  .

The  example of Brett Kebble is only the tip of the iceberg , there are other  reported  cases that seem to quietly  get swept under the mat .

A report  in the media states that   Revenue Services have a shortfall in collections ....

Trevor  Manuel and  Pravin Gordahn should realise that part of their shortfall possibly comes from the "favours"   or favouring / turning a blind eye  to  the elite and friends  debts  to the fiscus .
Furthermore the wastage of taxpayers money in the example of parliament buying  the debt of the travelgate  scoundrels that  still  warm seats  in parliament . Where did that money come from ? From the tax bucket obviously .Will they pay it back to their employer  ? I doubt  it will be repaid .

So Trevor Manuel and Pravin Gordahn  can you honestly answer these questions ?

1.   Has  Jacob Zuma  been subject to an audit  for all the  monies he received including the free legal services ?
2.   Have  all the ANCYL and ANC members that received money from Brett Kebble  and others  been subject to audits of their  financial affairs .
3.   Have the travelgate  scoundrels been subject to scrutiny by the  revenue services seeing that they  received benefits illegally ??

Sadly  so I  expect  no honest answers here as the ANC leadership  has lost its moral compass and the  ability to  have a conscious  conscience . That by explanation the ability  to look at oneself in the  mirror  , ask  and answer the following  questions to oneself  ..
1.   Have  I tried my best  to be honest in my  everyday dealings ?
2.   Is what I am doing  fair and moral ?
3.   Do I feel good  about what I am doing or am I just toeing party line ?

Too many  ANC elite , members and their blindly loyal followers  cannot answer  these questions to themselves , and if they suddenly  developed the ability to do so ,  they would bow their heads in shame for obvious reasons  .

Yours in  hope  for  a fair , just  and  bright future  in South Africa  ,

                                    Sandy   Buchanan .
