thanks for this photo Mike. This really brings back memories because this where I spent the last 3 years of my career in OMD. I had a lively big office in the right wing,  down right side passage, round corner to right and then into my office.

That was also Rick Paley's office many years later, and the same office I went to for my apprenticeship interview....

awesome Mike. In fact my classroom kind of adjoined my office, had a window at rear facing the school/Mess.

I think this is shocking, that a large institution like Namdeb does not do apprentice training.

Mike I looked at a recent google earth view of the tech and I see that there must have been a post '83 addition to the rear of the building which goes to the rear boundary of the tech property. I seem to recall in the early days that there was a driveway all around the actual building.
I also notice that there are ramp ways (wheel chair friendly obviously) on the front stairs that were not there in my day.
What is this old tech building actually used for now these days?

I think it is Engineering Projects dept or something to that effect..... There was a building added to the back of the tech in the 80's and then the whole back area was fenced off between the single quarters and the tech, needless to say the appies "created" holes in the fence......

No need to.... I heard from a reliable source that the school expects to lose 120 pupils this year due to the VS ....

That should leave in the region of 400 pupils ......
