23_11_61 I awoke this morning to a silent town....usually at this time of the morning, you would hear the bus doing the rounds, breaks screeching as it headed towards a stop street...... you would also hear cars on their way to the checkpoint, with the odd motorbike...... today...silence..... only a dog letting the world know that at least he is still awake.....

Most People left this morning for the North, i saw some Oshakati Busses leaving Swartkop gate this morning. i wonder how it gonna look like in Two weeks time. Probably we who will be left behind will just hear the sound of the wind blowing a sea breeze in town........
silence is creeping in.............................................
That's a sad thought Paulus; let's hope plans take off to keep Oranjemund alive.
Hopefully after the production holiday all will return to normal
Silent Easter ....
I made a comment on Face Book that Oranjemund is the holiday town to be. Got a few comments.
Visitors were impressed by our town, Oryx in town, jackals in town. We are so used to this we do not see it any more.
Surprise, surprise, certain SPAR prices are cheaper than their local SPAR. Savannah Mini Market did not get comments on pricing, maybe all are so happy to walk into a shop/cafe and buy their goods and be gone. I hope the visitors had a wonderfull Easter and they all return safe to their homes.
