In just shy of 90 days, this here website , Oranjemundonline.com turns a youthful 2 years old.... in that time , we signed up 667 members, or should I say, ex Oranjemunders , now scattered to all the major countries of the world......, We posted more than 2000 Oranjemund related photographs ,we reunited a friendship that was lost 40 years ago, we reunited a further number of lost friends,we organised a reunion in Oranjemund, we had more than 2million page view hits on the forum, sadly, we recorded the passing of many of the old timers on the Lost Diamonds page, we met each other at remote bars .... just because we came from a small town in the Namib.... , we defended and promoted our small town to the international media,the Daily Mail included, we discussed and covered the topic of an historical shipwreck a month before the rest of the world's major media broke the story.... we sent parcels to each other between continents, we returned to oranjemund after 40 years...... we celebrated birthdays together .... , you ..... all of us achieved the goals of this site.... Oranjemund will survive forever ...here online
