What CD are you listenening to in the car?
I'm alternating between Eric Clapton (Back Home) and an oldie - Boston! the remastered 1st album they did.
;D
Anything soothing .preferably easy listening classical . it keeps me calm enough to ignore the antics of the minibus taxi drivers thereby staying out of trouble ... unfortunately my instinct is to want to take some of them out ...
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE....IT FUELS THE RAGE
sex pistols, woman from bermingham does it for me,off the album never mind the bollocks,ha ha or friggin in the rigging,it had to happen to me in om,getting back to the rugby,my blood too runs green, but alas i feer a trouncing, final of three possibles, sticking the old neck on the line here men, france, all blacks or the aussies, followed by my beloved boks and the lions
I steal music
Today is 'The Jam', Yesterday was 'The Who'
Never go anywere without those two and Kate Bush, Bob Marley, Voilet Femmes,
I travel about 45miles every day and it's the only time I get to listen to my own music, without someone saying what the F is that your listening too now........
Today it is Xerxes's turn. Ambient music. Nowegian guy called Xerxes. Download free
Freshly Grounds new song about fat thighs, flappy arms, potbellies still give good loving. Realy makes me feel soooo good about myself.HeeHee
I think I really should try and listen to the words next time I hear Freshly Grounds latest song, had no idea it was about flabby body parts! Really enjoy their music.
Don't get chance to listen to much in the car, not only because it doesn't take long to drive anywhere in O'mund, but because I'm normally listening to the two backseat drivers telling me all their news.
I enjoy them as well usually hear the song when dropping my daughter at work in the morning on K.F.M. The flabby body parts are part of the chorus (is that splet right)
on the topic of flabby parts MIKA "big girls" is fun not very rock chick but hey.....
Was Mad Caddies about a month ago when my car was still running ;D Needless to say it was a definite contributer to why my car is standing...
dave i doubt it had anything to do with the music , you could have been listen to barbie girl and still been in the same situation , then again if i had that in my car i would crash it to.....never the less you get my point
;D Going to work this morning it was Foghat, Rock n Roll and on the way home their original Live and latest release, Live II album.
If it was for me, then it would be Texas or Club House 10 however, I have to listen to Walt Disney Party Tuens with my kids, quite catchy actually. Or, they put on their dvd's so it's Power Rangers or Peppa Pig.......
Is'nt it funny, when one gets older and wiser, one seems to go into reverse gear. I am currently listering to "Final Countdown" by Europe.
Charmain
Tody I am listening to The Allman Brothers "Brothers & Sisters" album.

Ask Debbie - I don't know if she remembers me, we used to work together at Uubvley. I was in the mine store and she worked in planning with Bill Slier, Kosie Krige and Dieter Heiser.
Charmain
Hi Charmaine
I never worked on the mine. During the school hols I worked at the hairdressing salon with aunty Marie Redell, was great, all the lekker skinder, and then after school I worked at the warehouse next to the police station. Worker under Ray Fleurot and with Mrs Stenson and the gang. Also worked at the Hexen at night when Albert Lisser was chef.
Cheers
Charmaine & Debbie - off topic! :-\
Listening to The Pretenders this morning.
They have cd players in cars these days! ;) Sigh! I'm hoping to upgrade my donkey Cart to a Beetle..... ;D
Mike, your too young to remember the 8 track " Stereo" Tape players they had in cars in the mid 60's but I am sure that Bruce and a few others will.
Remember Simon & Garfunkel - Brige Overtroubled water , I am a rock etc being played over and over because at first we only had the one tape ( Tape was almost as big as those fro the VCR's)
I remember driving as a kid in 1976 in Peter Macmanus's car.... they had a nodding dog on the back window and one of those 8 track thingy's you were talking about, the tapes looked like early version of game cartridges..... sonf that was always playing...."Where's your Mama gone...where's your mama gone... lalalala!"
The things we remember heh? :D
There you are Mike rite on track
Clive I remember vinyl too and the brief 8 track fad. ;D
In the car CD player today, I have Crowded House.
Robert, do you do a lot of driving?
I'm listening to Suited and Booted today.
Barbara
I only do a 60 mile return trip each day. But it gives me time to listen to the music I want. Luckily I have the CD control paddles on the steering wheel which makes for easy track/volume selection.
Am listening to Santana - Supernatural today.
Robert, I hope you ain't typing this whilest you drive!
;)
I live 3 minute walk from work, so I don't get much drivetime..... :D
Mike,
OK.
So from tomorrow we extend this topic to include "What Music Do You Listen To On Your Walkman While On Your 3 Minute Ambulation To Work?"
And for starters, tomorrow morning Mike will tell us what track he listened to....!! :D
This morning I gave Billy Joel's "12 Nights" a try. Recorded live at Madison Square Gardens over 12 nights. Excellent recording production and great perfomance of his classic hits. Audience participation (singalong)is superb! :)
Yesterday listened to Lindisfarne - On Tap - Barrel of Hits.
Today Eric clapton - Live on Tour 2001 - "One more car, One more rider".
And JJ Cale & Eric Clapton - The Road to Escondido.

Spelling............. ???
Well show me how to turn the blerrie spell check on
Spell checker!!!
I have one and I've got it on good authority that so does Michael.
It's called a wife...... :o
Kenny,
Don't they have to be trained to respond
Kenny, I've given up on Mike's spelling and grammar - I only hope that the girls take after me and not their dad when it comes to the English language! Mind you, I hope they take after me when it comes to a lot of things!
Ha Ha Clive - remember I'm English! Not some barefoot, pregnant wife that stands in the kitchen all day!
Ooooi! Who said you can type in here, Get back in the kitchen and make my dinner! and don't forget to wash the car later........... >:(
Thought that would solicite a response, if Cherie sees it I'll proberly get a "klap on die kop"
Clive, go on your hands and knees, look under the desk, there where the wires go into the monitor, there is a purple switch, just click it on, and there you go... your spell checker should work..... ;)
I give up everyone's onto me ( dam it why was I born dyslexic)
Just a wee reminder Clive - "dam" should be spelt "damn".
And I make all the rules in MY household.
I just have to ask Heather first.
Kenny,
A guy's got to do what guy's got to do,

Hoetie and the Blowfish. cat3
Eros Ramazotti
Great artist Bertie!
Thanx Cherry. Unfortunate my first CD by him "Tutte stories" has mysteriously disappeared. Will have to get it again. I like artists who write most of their songs & lyrics themselves.
Try Kalahari.net; they often have some hidden gems on their music listings or you could probably download it from iTunes (quite reasonably priced). I assume you have Musica 'e - that's my favourite album.
RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS. Scottish pipe band. Amazing what can be played on the bagpipes. Great music.
What about the House of the Rising Sun by the Animals, lead singer Eric Burdon, the DJ put this one on when the went for a p**
I went to school with him, early 60's when they recorded this and many others
My best is their video which plays often on VH1 Old School - they look so uncomfortable!!
On my way back from a nice weekend of camping in the platteland, drove through the Huguenot tunnel with Vanessa Mae's violin blaring away. Was quite nice.
