Anything  soothing  .preferably easy  listening  classical  . it  keeps  me  calm  enough  to  ignore  the  antics  of  the   minibus taxi  drivers   thereby  staying  out  of  trouble ...  unfortunately  my  instinct  is  to  want to  take  some  of them  out ...

I think I really should try and listen to the words next time I hear Freshly Grounds latest song, had no idea it was about flabby body parts! Really enjoy their music.

Don't get chance to listen to much in the car, not only because it doesn't take long to drive anywhere in O'mund, but because I'm normally listening to the two backseat drivers telling me all their news.

I enjoy them as well usually hear the song when dropping my daughter at work in the morning on K.F.M. The flabby body parts are part of the chorus (is that splet right)

If it was for me, then it would be Texas or Club House 10 however, I have to listen to Walt Disney Party Tuens with my kids, quite catchy actually. Or, they put on their dvd's so it's Power Rangers or Peppa Pig.......

Ask Debbie - I don't know if she remembers me, we used to work together at Uubvley. I was in the mine store and she worked in planning with Bill Slier, Kosie Krige and Dieter Heiser.

Hi Charmaine

I never worked on the mine. During the school hols I worked at the hairdressing salon with aunty Marie Redell, was great, all the lekker skinder, and then after school I worked at the warehouse next to the police station. Worker under Ray Fleurot and with Mrs Stenson and the gang. Also worked at the Hexen at night when Albert Lisser was chef.
Cheers

Mike, your too young to remember the 8 track  " Stereo" Tape players they had in cars in the mid 60's but I am sure that Bruce and a few others will.
Remember Simon & Garfunkel  - Brige Overtroubled water , I am a rock etc being played over and over because at first we only had the one tape ( Tape was almost as big as those fro the VCR's)

I remember driving as a kid in 1976 in Peter Macmanus's car.... they had a nodding dog on the back window and one of those 8 track thingy's you were talking about, the tapes looked like early version of game cartridges..... sonf that was always playing...."Where's your Mama gone...where's your mama gone... lalalala!"

The things we remember  heh?  :D

Barbara

I only do a 60 mile return trip each day. But it gives me time to listen to the music I want.  Luckily I have the CD control paddles on the steering wheel which makes for easy track/volume selection.

Am listening to Santana - Supernatural today.

Kenny, I've given up on Mike's spelling and grammar - I only hope that the girls take after me and not their dad when it comes to the English language! Mind you, I hope they take after me when it comes to a lot of things!

Try Kalahari.net; they often have some hidden gems on their music listings or you could probably download it from iTunes (quite reasonably priced).  I assume you have Musica 'e - that's my favourite album.

On my way back from a nice weekend of camping in the platteland, drove through the Huguenot tunnel with Vanessa Mae's violin blaring away.  Was quite nice.
