A sad day today, as a fire occurred in one of the new flats situated behind NAMPOL. I believe one person perished in the blaze. We were asked not to take any photographs as an investigation is ongoing.
The flat's was build with dence foamolite(?), with the heat of the fire, do anyone know the damage inside the walls?
Was there not an issue with the quality of those flats when they were first constructed?
It is a real shame that a desperately unhappy man had to die. It is suspected a suicide as the gentleman concerned was suicidal and had previously attempted to take his own life according to NAMPOL. Not a nice way to go to his maker. Sympathies to his family and friends and work collegues at Daberras.
Which flats would this be then?
The flats that were built before your time..... way before your time.... no street corners there sister....
rooster ape
The building: U can c the craks in the plaster outside the flats. How save r the remaning residence?
The guy smoked, he might have fallen asleep with a dunhill in his hand.
Out of respect to the guys family, friends and co-workers I suggest that we stop assuming what happened and let it be.
Thank you
I agree 100% Alf
Only two persons are still staying at the flats. Good thinking on safety.
I still want to know which flats are these.
Hi Diana, if it is the flats I'm thinking of, they are fairly new, situated near the back of what you would know as the old warehouse and Police station, quie near the golf driving range.
