Title: The Best Thing I ever did with this site.....
Post by: Michael Alexander on July 03, 2009, 02:51:38 PM
The best thing I ever did with hosting this site, was to have the wisdom to make sure that the hosting server was placed

outside of AFRICA..... why,,, well once again the net , here Namibia has dropped of the international scene.... who knows

where the problem lies..... I know that the online banking sites have been offline a lot more than normal..... businesses

depend so much these days on these links..... Africa better hurry up and realise this.....

Mmm thinking of  it .. FNB ...  were the problematic one  ( SA connection ? ) ..  ok now  if  I do any transactions  in SA via FNB , that  be  cash withdrawals  etc  they cost me nothng more than my  low 66 pm month  fee ..  yet in OM I could not get  to draw via FNB .. yet bank of windhoek or whatever they called  , their  ATM's were always  ready and eager to give me cash .. but with a heavy  fee penalty ..  conspiracy ??

Don't forget Sandy that by using your South African FNB card for a cash withdrawal in Namibia or any other country for that matter, you are charged at Forex rates.

We were told that by using our Namibian FNB cards in South Africa, we will be charged at the Forex going rates but this only applies when drawing cash.

Know about the forex part of it .. but  withdrawals from FNB dont  have theother  bank  fee , so it was double whammy charge ..
