Well some of you might have noticed that your refuse is being removed late.... this is due to the rubbish truck being in the garage . I spoke to the driver, Caprito today, asking him what had happened to his company car.... he looked at the ground, shook his head and muttered something about the gearbox being stripped...... it was not his fault, he stammered..... he was on leave top Ovamboland..... the stand in guy did..... it........ the towns refuse is now being removed by a bakkie hauling a giant metal cage behind it..... off course with the current east wind this is an open invitation for the town to be covered in plastic papers......
Now the question begs to be asked, what on earth happened to the 2nd lorry that used to be in town, the big white one......... 2 years ago, I heard it got transferred to the mine?
Anyone know anything?
Up-out
Aah, dunno bout that 1, probably auctioned off. The mine laso has a problem... refuse truck broken down for a couple of weeks now... I think the situation is absolutely rubbish. (hehe)
Aaaagh! Andrew, don't talk Junk.... hahahahahaha! laughpoint
My rubbish was collected today
Aren't we lucky... South African municipal workers are wacking away at their strike for a 15% pay increase, not happy with the 10% they were offered. Have you seen the streets of JHB on the news, man what a mess!
.... and I ever hopefull put my bin out to-day. No such luck.
Mike, in response to your original note at the top. I'm not suprised the truck got wrecked, Mel was picking up Ethan from daycare the week before and that truck came flying down the dirt road behind her, hitting the hooter as he did to get her out the way, she recons he was driving it like a race car....
That could not have been the normal driver, Caprito was on leave at that time....
yellocard
So Caprito's words are varified... the stand in guy did it...! oooh!!
Ever see a garbage truck doing doughnuts and handbrake turns before?????
Yep! In that episode of the Simpsons.....
