Hi guys.
Went to see my dad in hospital yesterday. He said it would be okay for me to open a topic and post pics here. (pics will follow)
After two "small" operations to his heart (stands) he started recovering fairly.seeing to the fact, that he is allergic to severil medecins things didn't work the way they should. On friday he probably had his first minor stroke, which wasn't taken serious by the doc. On tuesday early morning (actualy at night) he had a proper stroke.
Now he seems to be recovering quite well, due to him being in intensive care. His will to live and recover is strong.
We chatted and laughed for hours and it seemed, as if this way of being active helped him a lot.
So I don't know when he'll be back to do his job here.
georgswa sends his love and regards to all. He knows he ha s a family here...

Sorry to hear about your Dad George hope all goes well and he has a quick recovery.
I have spoken with him on Skype a few times, and noticed he has not been available for awhile.
He was pretty active after his Malta holiday then went quite, anyway give him my best wishes .............Frank
Thanks for the update on your fathers condition JNr, I too always enjoyed a Skype session with your dad, I fondly remember the time my father and your father had a virtual sing a long using Skype, your father playing the mouth organ in Germany and my father singing in Oranjemund....
Your father has always been passionate about this site and a good source of advice..... "You got to put tags on your site......" .... hehehehe!
And then their were his trips all over the place, you were always assured of high quality pics....
So saying all this...... SNR, get your brain and arse into gear, ge tthe mouth organ out and get healthy...

Have made good progress, can walk and talk
Nwxt weeh going home and continue fror 3 weeks in a sanatory to execize all the body functions that are somewhat lame
Had 3 strokes all together but only knew for certain of the last one,
Speech and talk was impaired but was realtive well again
Will call here as again as soon as i can

I am back home, still very weak, managed to walk a bit with the help of Uschi. ( about 200 m)
Will increase that by the day
On the 24. Aug i start rehabilitation in juniors favorite town Bad Urach not to far from here they will make me sweat LOL

Tell me more about those parts. i also had some fitted ( 2-3 Stents on the heart and more to come) as a result i had those strokes

George!! I was waiting in the pre-admission to hospital and there was a guy in before me, you could hear the nurse asking him about his health.
One of the questions the nurse asked was "did he have any heart problems" and I heard him say "not since Marilyn Monroe died " ..... I had a laugh.........................image04

Planned was to go to rehbilitation in Urach, the medical aid refused support, i am in constant contact with all responsible people to sort that out. Problem is, the waiting aggrevates the condition.
Bureaucracy is the same everywhere in the world. Hope you get this all resoved quickly. In the meantime, try not to let these idiots get to you. They're not worth it. Take care of yourself

Spoke to my dad on the phone yesterday,
He's doing a bit better but still very weak. At first he sounds just the way he used to be before the stroke. After about 20 minutes he starts getting slower in his speach.
So I can't tell when he'll be back here the way we all knew him.

Hope all is going well George.........did see you on Skype a few weeks ago and was going to call you but you were gone like a "Will o the wisp".
I'm at my brothers at the moment will be back in Oz from the 17th November will try and Skype you when you are online.
