Title: Manholes and Things@!
Post by: Michael Alexander on October 08, 2009, 06:15:51 PM
Surely this should be considered dangerous?  are-you-there  On the main drag, 5th avenue..... a manhole lid that needs replacing, there is another behind spar, in fact the whole cement structure is torn off and then in the 5th avenue park another, ..... sigh ! Remember the days when loss control ruled the town.... and a NOSA meant something......

Mike, check the manhole cover down the road from you in 6 Ave, outside 15th or 17th. It has been broken for years and someone can easily trap their foot in it, especially a child.........

Good point Mike A.
The thing is NOSA hit the bottom of the barrel and are a thing of the past... Look to our beloved OTMCo and ask them what's happening to the money for infrastructure maintenance...
DO we in Omund (ditto for the "dead grass" thread) have to pull a stunt like the community in RSA that were so fed up with poor service delivery from the municipalities that they stopped paying their rates to the municipality; formed a local committee and paid their rates to a fund that was better managed to source the necessary services required for infrastructure maintenance.
It was all over the news and a Carte Blanche type program too not so long ago...
