Title: BOB HODGE (Att: Nicky Hodge)
Post by: Charmain Meier (Heusdens) on September 15, 2007, 02:03:17 PM
Hi Nicky

I was at the beauty salon early this morning for a facial.  Whilst I was lying and relaxing the beautician changed the cd's around and what started playing?  The very first piece of music that put George Zamfir on the map.  Your father, Bob, still gave the cassette many years ago.  It is so amazing that this specific piece of music was played

Hi again Charmain, that was quite a coincidence I must say. Yes, my Dad always did like his music. He had a large collection, not to mention variety. It is funny how certain things in life can take you back in time and conjure up old memories. Music always does it to me, so too do certain smells or scents.

Hi Sandy, My Dad took me to see Picnic At hanging Rock, and I have a Feeling that it may have been that soundtrack that prompted him to Purchase the George Zamfir collection. You are right on the button about that haunting sound ...
