Great stuff Alfie, you have just been promoted to head reporter at Omund Online.....

bravo

On the serious side
The only downside of this, is that it is not labour intensive.... well not enough to sustain Omund's future....

Yes, the water in the tanks... the oysters and perlies are a bit slow...

It's a pilot project to see if this is viable around here.  Imagine if it were conducted in "open" or town area; then along comes proclamation... Headline news men arrested for perlemoen poaching on farm

Neat setup they got going there...

Ja, Thys..... he told me he would be leaving Oranjemund soon forever...... a longtime Oranjemunder.... however there might be a glimmer of hope, as there might still be a project or two ffor him to work on early next year....

Here's to fingers crossed!~

I wonder if the Yacht club pan could be used for fish farming?

Unfortunately not without a lot of capital.
A whole bunch of guru's were here a couple of years ago, make that 2 or 3 different crowds, to check out the Yacht pan for farming fish, oysters, seahorses and I can't recall what else.
The responses that came back via the grapevine were not of a supporting nature in terms of sustainability options.

Promising idea though, would have great implications for the Yacht Club if it were feasable... then we would have to import sailors to stock the pan with... mmm, think about that one.
