Just up the road
from my humble abode
is a total eye sore
with a toilet that looks like a bomb site with missing roof and door.
Does any one know
why to demolish is so slow?
Or is it just a new way
for people to build and collect bricks to lay?
I hate to think that with visitors abound
that the demolishing sound
won't keep them awake
However may it scare the odd snake.
But what ever the case and what ever the reason
lets hope it gets cleaned up quickly before I get arrested for treason. ha ha
Bradley how poetically put ... but yes the way of africa it seems if something seems unused / underutilised / abandoned then well demolish it and use it for your own ... sadly so we see it here as well , underutilised resources looking like corpses with their eyes picked out ... .. on the road out of Pinelands heading for Epping there are some empty railway houses they slowly being demolished ,, and yes there a housing shortage here , yet these paluckas can let exisiting go to seed ?? how about a picture to compliment the poem ??
Bradley, broer, you must have gone to school at OPS to do poetry like that.....

My thanks to all concerned
That some body took on this message and learned
That the powers that be
went out to go see
what the fuss was all about
And then did something and began to shout.
Getting back to the weeds
Pull them out before they begin to seed
Make yourself feel good
like all community members should
And before you even know it
once you settle down for a braai and your fires been lit
Our little oasis here in Namibia
Will be back to being green, neat, tidy, watered and not looking like war torn Slovinia
(Had to find something to ryme, nothing matches dessert! ha ha
