I'm just curious , but who was there that day when the company dumped R2.00 notes outta the helicopter on the middle of town at the opening of the new shop.... in the late 70's I think....

I was really surprised that nobody gor hurt in the stampede, in retrospect it was a silly thing for the company to have done, but a unique thing..... we had a street party a few years back outside the front of Spar.... got the fire Dept to spray foam all over the end of 7th ave....... it was cold that day, but the kids were playing in the snow.....

it was paper money and with the wind down draught it went everywhere so not much danger.........

I build a snow man for the first time with Finbar 3 years ago when it snowed in Southampton, can you believe someone stole our snowman from the front garden, I found his head 5 doors down............I was devastated. wounded.
... and we thought that the crime in SA was bad.... stealing snowmen what next.... ;)

does any oneone remember the anti pollution days when the whole school would take to the streets with black bags and collect all the litter.
I did this with my youngster, and at one point he was going to go into business as the litter collector for the world, he had ambitions about being president of the world and outlawing litter and smoking...... now he's sixteen and wants all girls to walk around topless
My kinda person, got my vote if he ever enters politics..... ;D
