I am one of those people, who hate New Year Handshakes..... not the handshakes at The Bells or the ones with real friends and family, but rather those plonkers you meet on the street or shop 4 days later, mostly Afrikaaner males (sorry not knocking the dutchmen, but there is a point to it) , who run over to you wanting to shake your hand and wish good speed or something to that effect for the following year...... these are guys who I do not braai with and otherwise would'nt buy me a beer in the bar.....

It happens Michael ,, although sometimes irritated by it days afterwards , I accept as coming from the heart and accept in good grace ,,, what does pee me off is the opportunist ,, ie doing the begging ,, then I go cold ............ brrrr
