Sydney - The Cheetahs caused won their first game in Super Rugby this year when they outplayed the Waratahs to beat the by 23-3 in the wet.
Winger Philip Snyman and Sarel Pretorius scored tries as South Africa's previously winless Cheetahs caused the upset of the season, beating the New South Wales Waratahs 23-3 in Super 15 rugby on Saturday.
The Bloemforntein-based Cheetahs, losers in four earlier matches this season, took the lead in the 14th minute and were never headed, posting their first Super rugby win outside South Africa.
The Waratahs were expected to improve their two-win, one-loss record but poor set-pieces, weakness at breakdowns and constant handling errors gave the Cheetahs a stunning upset.

So there I go, with egg on my face, I hang my head in shame, I picked the Tahs for a big win over my CHeetahs, the wife wanted to buy me a new Cheetah Jersey for my birthday, I said no..... they are playing terrible at the moment..... and lo and behold, the upset of the weekend, my CHeetahs go and klap the Tahs in AUS by 20 points...

I never saw it myself - just heard from someone else also that they saw me on telly. I so did not think the cameras would focus on the folks up in the losies - we were of the brave ones who took the seats infront of the losies to watch the game ...... hee haaaa, and did I sweep up the lot of Cheetah supporters around me and did the victory dance about the win !!!! Should go watch the replay to see ..... !!!
