A request was made to me by Chris McPherson's, he had seen a packet of cigarettes from Australia and the graphic stop smoking pictures on the packets.......I am not a smoker I was but stopped 34 years ago..... Australia for a few years now have had a strong anti smoking campaign going and these packets are a further push to get people to QUIT.
The British American Tobacco company are truly an evil organization the cigarettes they produce today are more potent than ever, I could go on but will just post some of the packets I have come across.
Oops !!
Mmmh!

The packs in Thailand also have the scary pics on them ,,,
I am still amazed at the younger generation (the invincible) taken up this habit with all the warnings 'etc' you would think it would have some effect, and when you see doctors and nurses smoking then the mind boggles!!....... in the fifties, sixties and seventies it was cool to smoke and most of our generation did, cigarettes were cheap as chips...Here in Australia they are 8 to 9 dollars for a 20 packet at the moment..........still to cheap.
The government know that generation is now the hospital generation and is about to put a heavy strain on the hospital system with these ailments that were preventable. As I said it was cool for us to smoke we were battered over the head with adverts how it was a fun and sexy way of life. One brand come to mind the Marlboro ad, three men who appeared in Marlboro advertisements - Wayne McLaren, David McLean (died of lung cancer), and Dick Hammer died of prostate cancer.
Yul Brynner film star, throughout his life, Brynner was often seen with a cigarette in his hand. In January 1985, nine months before his death, he gave an interview on Good Morning America, expressing his desire to make an anti-smoking commercial. A clip from that interview was made into just such a public service announcement by the American Cancer Society, and released after his death; it includes the warning "Now that I'm gone, I tell you, don't smoke. Whatever you do, just don't smoke. If I could take back that smoking, we wouldn't be talking about any cancer. I'm convinced of that."
So to quit or not to quit you have to be serious about the answer... image14
