My Mom wrote our names in the wet cement outside the bathroom window of our house in 72-2nd ave.
Wonder if it's still there??
I''ll try and have a peek, maybe take a photo, when I do my drive by photo shootings next week....
;)
that would be brilliant Mike, Thank you
My teenage love days lies written in Cement at the 5th ave park, where the Jungle Gym used to stand.... strange to go with my kids there and see that writing.... :-\
The best markers were the "Wooden Bricks" at the Hockey Club above the bar. Okay, you had to make a wee donation for the honour, but so what.
Hey Michael, speak to the Hockey Club and maybe lot's of the ex-Oranjemunders would be happy to have one put up in their memory.
Just a wee thought.....
Kenny do you thing all the sceptic tanks and Concrete Sewage pump stations constitute a permanent mark or is it just a flush in passing
It depends on how BIG a sh*t you were whilst you where in Oranjemund. :o
JA WELL
i didnt actually leave it myself but i was in the car that did.......on the evening of the opening of eastgate i was in a car that went speeding off to the pub out of eastgate and the driver did a little swerve and hit the wall at the entrance/exit of eastgate, if you go look at the corner of that wall there should be a piece missing
Talking about cars & bits, on the corner of the kerb outside the Main office there is a bit missing, caused a damaged wheel rim
Claire, I was at your old house this morning, Sorry but it looks like the drain was dug up not too long ago, new cement, here are the pics though, I did say I would... ;)
Thank you..................... ;)
It was quite an impressive drain though! really imposing! ;D
