Spar is busy with Affirmative action policies again, and again, and again to keep el' Gov happy..... I was just wondering how detrimental the whole BEE (Black Economic Empowerment) and Affirmative action policies , although well meaning are actually detrimental to the country, I wonder how many foreign companies who thought about investing in Namibia were scared off when they heard they had to "give" shares to previously disadvantaged people if they wanted to do business in Namibia...... I am not saying that previously disadvantaged people should not be uplifted, but just look around and see which previously disadvantaged people have actually benefited from the whole scam..... yep, a heck of a lot of the politicians and political leaders., but fillimon is still living in his tin shack...../

THE ONLY WAY BEE CAN WORK IS IN THE " BROAD BASED " SYSTEM ... IE SHARES ARE ALLOCATED TO ALL EMPLOYEES IRRESPECTIVE OF COLOUR ( HOW CAN ONE EXCLUDE ALL LOYAL EMPLOYEES ANYHOW ?? ) THIS IS NORMALLY DONE ON A BUY IN BASIS , BEING THE LONGER ONE WORKS THE LESS THE " DEBT " TO THE COMPANY ,, AFTER A CERTAIN PERIOD THE ENTIRE ALLOCATED SHARE DISTRIBUTION BELONGS TO THE EMPLOYEE ENTIRELY ( A SURE WAY OF ENSURING SOME LOYALTY ) AND HE/ SHE IS AT LIBERTY TO SELL IT BACK TO THE COMPANY ON TERMINATING EMPLOYMENT ON THE BASIS OF ACCUMULATION OF CREDITS , THE OFSHOOT OF THIS IS OF COURSE THAT IT IN EFFECT SHOULD REPLACE THE NORMAL EXPECTED BONUS SYSTEM OF 13TH CHEQUE ... IE YOUR INPUT DETERMINES YOUR PAYOUT AT THE END OF EACH FINANCIAL YEAR ... IN MY BOOK A SURE WAY OF GETTING FOLK TO DO THIER JOBS WELL AND ALSO NOT TOLERATE MALINGERERS .. THE WILLY NILLY GIVING OF SHARES TO " CONNECTED FOLK " JUST JUST NOT WORK .. IT MAKES A FEW ASSOLES RICH AND YES LEAVES THE REST IN THEIR SHACKS ... TOO TRUE MIKE ... TOO TRUE ..
