Here's one of Bob Stirling, taken at a braai at Jock's house (E7-1st) in the mid 70's.... this is the chap that lived in 7th avenue and wanted to take one of the old loco's to his home for th ekids to play on..... in the end he settled for just placing the two loco lamps at his front door.... Anyone know what happened to him?
I remember Bob he was from Glasgow ,had spent some time in the Police force back in Scotland. I think he worked at ISCOR in Pretoria the same time I did 1966-67 before coming to Omund . I think he left after me and went to Austrailia to work in the Western Mines there ,thats all I know.
Ta! John.... anyone else know what happened to old Bob? Perhaps Mr.Mason over in Perth might know something?
